I pull into the dorm parking lot. I look up at the building as I drive in front of it. I find a parking spot in the front row. I pull the car in and park it. I turn the car off and take my phone from the cup holder. I turn it on vibrate and throw it in my purse. I look at the steering wheel before grabbing my purse and getting out of my car. I hit lock on the keys and throw them in my purse as I start to walk towards the building.

I stop at the bottom of the steps and take a breath before walking up the steps. A girl is coming out when I reach the door and she smiles and holds it open for me. I walk through and head towards Alex's room.

Once I reach the door I take a deep breath and let it out before I knock. I wait a second before the door is opened and he is standing there staring at me. He moves to the side and holds the door open for me as I walk in. I stand in the middle of the room because for the first time I feel awkward being here.

He looks around before looking at me like I am crazy, "Are you going to sit?" I look around and decide to sit on his chair at his desk. I pull it out and turn it so I am facing him. He sits on his bed and stares at me, "I like the new hair." I smile and put my hand up to it, "Thanks. Just got it done." He nods, "It looks nice, different." I nod and look around his room and see a guitar leaning against the closet door. I turn to him and at the same time we both start to talk. "Ally?" "Alex?" He puts a hand out to me. I sigh and look around and notice how messy his room has gotten before turning back to him. "I'm just going to be straight." He nods and looks at me, "We need to talk." He nods and looks at me, "About?" I sigh and lean back in his chair, "About you CD and I don't know, everything." He looks at me and I can tell he is trying to figure out where to go for this. I sigh and look at the door wondering if I should just get up and go. I turn back to him reminding myself this is the right thing to do.

I shake my head, "I don't know where to start here Alex." He looks at me, "Well, I'm guessing you got my CD or you wouldn't be here right now?" I nod and look at him, "What is going on?" He shrugs and sighs, "You told me to write about what I knew and how I felt, so I did." I shake my head, "Alex, why is it that every song seems to be about me or meant for me?" He looks at me like I am crazy, "Really Ally? Come on, you know that answer." I shake my head and run my hand through my hair, "I thought we had this figured out." He looks at me and ignores the question completely, "Did you listen to the full CD?" I shake my head and he stands up and places the CD in his laptop and hits play. "You go to where you are." I move the mouse to the song after the last one I listened to and hit play. He hits pause and looks at me. "You listen. I will be back in a few and then we can talk." He turns and walks out the door. I turn back to the computer and hit play.

You know I've always got your back, girl

So let me be the one you come running to, running to, r-r-running

I see it's just a matter of fact, girl

You just call my name

I'll be coming through, coming through, I'll keep coming

On the other side of the world, it don't matter

I'll be there in two, I'll be there in two, I'll be there in two

I still feel it every time

It's just something that you do

Now ask me why I want to

It's everything about you, you, you

Everything that you do, do, do

From the way that we touch, baby
