Pumpkin had followed Jade into a small sewer with many tunnels. There, four other dog emerge from the shadows looking in the direction of Pumpkin and Jade all of them growling before looking around, and stopping. One turning to talk to Jade. "Jade, you know the rules. Fang is going to kill you if he sees this dog in our territory." Pumpkin looked mildly confused.

These dog's weren't obeying Fang because they wanted to, but because they were scared of him. She then turned to where the black pug was standing to see that she had disappeared yet again, and was now on a massive pile of junk. Barking to gets everyone's attention. Once she had it she began to talk. "Excuse me everypup. I have a huge announcement to make! One that involves our freedom." Pumpkin smiled as even though she was impatient to get home. She knew that they wouldn't get through without questioning them.

"Um Fang got taken by animal control were free. Now I need to go I have a mission to take this dog home." The pug said quickly jumping off the pile and coming back over to Pumpkin, before they could continue walking another dog walked up beside them. Pumpkin got closer to Jade as she did not trust the other dog at all, but Jade did. "Hey Thorn. Why are you following us." Jade asks quickening her pace.

The other dog looked past Pumpkin to Jade, "Well I have an important question to ask you. Involving the Alpha role." Thorn told Jade who just continued walking, "Sure but make it quick I got to get Pumpkin home by tomorrow night, and we can't lose anymore daylight." Jade tells the other dog as Pumpkin nodded. Though she was interested at where this conversation was going.

Thorn went to the other side of Jade looking at the dog happily. "Jade you have protected us and encouraged us even when Fang was being unreal and crazy. You held your head high. And never let him get the best of you. The other dogs and I agree that you should be our new alpha.." Thorn explained making both Jade and Pumpkin gape. Before Jade quickly replies. "I'll have to think about it. I will tell you when I return." Jade say before both Pumpkin and Jade continue running through the sewer.

Pumpkin and Jade continued running through the pipes until Pumpkin stopped as her paws were getting tired. Jade noticed and slowed her pace so they were walking flank to flank. They began talking to each other once again. "So why exactly are we going through the sewers to get me home?" Pumpkin asks as she hated the smell and the mucky water of the sewers." Jade replied, " It's either this or we have to face the danger of the streets. Not to mention this takes half the time to walk." Jade replied as she sniffed the air making sure she was going in the right direction.

"Not to be rude, but I'm just curious why would your pack choose you the Omega to be Alpha when you are so small." Pumpkin asks as Jade groans in frustration. She knew Pumpkin had her reasons to think that a small dog couldn't be an Alpha, but it was seriously getting on her nerves.

"You don't get it! It doesn't matter how small or tall you are. It's what knowledge you have and how big your heart is. A true alpha will do anything to protect their pack and have the street smarts to do it." Jade explained as she sped up again making Pumpkin groan as she tried her best to keep up with the smaller dog.

"So tell me more about yourself Jade. How did you get into Fang's pack?" Pumpkin asked the dog who looked at o and sighs. " It wasn't my choice if that what you're thinking. I have spent my whole life on the streets. One day when I was around five maybe six months old Fang found me and forced me to join his pack. Even though I was doing well on my own. I have lived under his paw until today." Jade explained as she continues walking smelling food. "What do you say about a quick hunting break I'm starving."

Pumpkin nodded, "Sounds good to me I'm hungry too but what are we going to eat?"  Pumpkin asks the pug who dives into the murky water grabbing two fish. "These, don't worry they look gross, but they taste delicious." Jade told Pumpkin who looked at the slimy looking fish. " Yeah I'll pass I'll just beg for more food when I get home." Pumpkin told Jade who's nods, " Alright if you're sure." Jade says getting out of the water and shaking her fur off.
"Come on then let's get you home." Jade tells her as she continues walking

Five hours later both were utterly exhausted, but perked up when they saw the end of the sewer. We're almost to the rest stop. I know it's already early morning, and that we have to get yo home by tonight, but it won't do us any good if we're to tired to walk." Jade told Pumpkin who wagged her tail tiredly, " Yeah I need some rest, and Jade..." Pumpkin says looking at the black pug who turned to her when she heard her name. "Yes Pumpkin?" Jade asked cocking her head as she lied down at the exit of the sewer.

"Thanks for everything you didn't have to do any of this, you went out of your way to help me. And I'll be forever grateful" Pumpkin told Jade who yawned, "No problem Whitey. It's what an alpha would do good... morning Pumpkin I'll wake you up in a few hours." Jade told Pumpkin as both rest.

Meanwhile Lola had just woken up. The day before she had went searching for Pumpkin, and put up lost dog posters up everywhere she could hoping someone would ind her, and do the right thing. She had also been avoiding Georgie's phone calls, she knew she would have to tell Georgie sometime, but she was not looking forward to it.

She knew Georgie didn't freak out to badly with Pumpkin's last incident, but she could not decide which was worse Pumpkin ear getting torn or her getting stolen. So she had no idea how Georgie would react to this. Her phone rings again, and sees it's Georgie. She groans as she picks up the phone. "Hello?"
