A Bet Part 2

Loyal strides through the woodland area, easily  looking  at the mountains around  her. "The wood may be dark and damp, but it's also a magical and beautiful  place, and look at the fierce and bold mountains around you." Loyal says looking  around and sniffing the air happily.

Mira tentatively  did the same as she jogged to keep up with the bigger animal. The mountains around  them were stunning, but dangerous animals could  come around  at any time. "Yeah… but what about the wild animals? Don't  dogs eat dog out here?" Mira questions and Loyal just rolls her eyes fondly.

"That rarely happens, it's  only an old folktale. Now coming on!  The woods can be really  fun, and I'm  going  to give you the grand tour, just loosen up a bit this is going  to be fun!" Loyal says with a joyful howl and Mira tries to copy Loyal's howl, but it's pretty  pathetic and Loyal just cocks her head and chuckles. 

"You call that a howl! Come on now do it like you mean it!" The wolf barks and Mira howls again, this time putting her heart into it. The wolf just jumps with excitement! "Now that's  what I'm talking  about!" Loyal says howling again. Mira just smiles, she was actually  enjoying  this!

"Well this is boring! Pumpkin  barks after about  half an hour of watching  Mal  color, and Mal nods immediately  agreeing with the white puppy.

"Yeah it's bowing , I wan adventure come on!" Mal says, but Pumpkin  shakes her head. She wasn't  going  to let Mira win this bet! Then Mira would never leave her be.

"No, then Mira would be right. Though I do admit an adventure  would be nice. Ugh okay come on Mal  let's go." Pumpkin  barks, and Mal follows excitedly  as they walk past Lola who is just  watching TV as usual.

But as they open the door a car that Pumpkin  recognizes  pulls up. "Pumpkin, Mal don't  you two dare! I've heard the stories about  the mischief you get into while Lola babysitting. That's why Georgie called me just  to check on you two! Although she knew I had a date"  Lily says with an annoyed huff looking  at her boyfriend  in the car

"Ew boys have cooties!" Mal says and Lily rolls her eyes. "In the house both of you !" Lily says sternly  she usually  didn't  mind Mal or Pumpkin  doing  this as long as they had adult supervision, but they didn't  this time and Lily  really just  wanted to make sure everything  was okay quickly so she and her boyfriend  could hang out, but as she walks inside she notices Mira is nowhere to be seen.

"Hey Lola your kid and dog were about  to escape  again." Lily says looking  around again, and where the heck is Mira?" Lily asks immediately, looking at the kid and Pumpkin  knowing they would probably  know better than Lola  did.

"She ran off." Mal stated and Lily immediately  knew this would be bad if Georgie came back 
and Mira wasn't  there. With Pumpkin  she wasn't  as protective  because  Pumpkin  was originally  a street dog so she had friends  and knew how to defend herself. On the other hand Mira was at the shelter her whole life and didn't  have a street bone in her. She would  get  killed out there.

"Did you really lose Mira. Georgie  is going  to blow up and probably  kill you if you don't  find her before  she comes to pick the pups up. If you think she's protective of Pumpkin  she is two times like that with Mira," Lily says and Lola groans. 

"Not again, but why! Mira is usually  the one that behaves where she could have gone!" Lola asks and Lily shrugs. She honestly  didn't  know Mira never went out on her own. Whatever  happened, Mira must be miserable.
