When The Alphas and Beta's Away

A/N: sorry I'm not on as much Easter week is busy for us. I hope you enjoy this one shot

"Are you sure about this." Thorn asked her two alphas hesitantly before glancing at the three youngest pups. "Come on Thorn I'm sure Tyson can manage." Jade says to the slightly older dog who sighed. Thorn wasn't to sure about it Dove and Blaze could be a pawful .

Jade and Diamond had invited Thorn to go on patrol with them to get a break from the rest of the pack which she watched all day every day and they thought she needed a break. So Thorn relunctantly agreed, but was now having second thoughts.

"I wouldn't be to sure about that." Thorn says, but heads over to Tyson anyways to make sure he thought he could watch Dove and Blaze alone.

"Tyson do you think you can handle them?" Thorn asks pointing her nose to Blaze and Dove. Tyson looked to his younger 'siblings' and nods "I am seventy- five percent sure I can watch Dove and Blaze successfully." Tyson says making Thorn raise an eyebrow, "What about the other twenty-five percent." Thorn asked making Tyson shrug "Don't worry we'll be fine." Tyson reassured Thorn who sighs, "Alright, if you're sure."

Thorn says before going over to Dove and Blaze, "Alright Dove, alright Blaze, Tyson is in charge!" Thorn told the two others who groan "Why is he in charge?!" Dove asks annoyingly as Blaze barks in his opinion,"Yeah I would be a much better leader then he would." Blaze says as Tyson rolls his eyes.

"Because I'm the oldest." Tyson says proudly making Blaze contradict him, "By a few days!" Blaze growls playfully as Thorn glared at the two youngest, "No it's because I can trust him now you better listen to him, or I won't hesitate to punish you." Thorn says before turning to Tyson one more time, "Good luck. Howl if you need me." Thorn tells Tyson before walking off with Jade and Diamond.

"Yes! they're gone!" Dove barked out excitedly as Blaze spin around happily, "I thought they would never lead what should we do?" Blaze asked Dove before Tyson stepped up nervously, "We are going to behave ourselves, while Thorn and our alphas are away." Tyson trying to be stern, as he knew if anything bad, crazy, or messy happened he would get the blame.

Now he wasn't worried about Jade and Diamond being mad. Thorn was who scared him, a mad Thorn wasn't a good sight and that is why the pack didn't try to get on it.

"Oh come on Tyson it's not everyday we're left alone let's have some fun." Dove barked out making Tyson sigh, "No Dove I'm not getting Thorn's talking to tonight." Tyson say standing by his earlier statement. Blaze groaned come on Smarty Dog don't let your demeanor be changed just because you're put in charge!" Blaze says making Tyson sigh.

"Alright, but I'm watching both of you and if you do anything to crazy I'll have to be sterner understood?" Tyson asked as the other two nod, "Understood!"

"Thorn would you stop being so tense the pups will be fine Tyson has got this handle." Jade says to her close friend and beta. She had known Thorn since she was just a pup herself, and had adored her, she was so fun and kind, and gentle unlike Fang.

Thorn use to protect all of them, and when Dove and Tyson came along she became their mother dog. Jade hasn't seen Thorn relaxing since then. Especially since they now had Blaze added to the mixture.

Thorn sighs trying to relax she knew that Jade did this for she could have a break, but she couldn't stop thinking about her pups. "Sorry Jade sorry Diamond I can't help but worry." Thorn says as she sniffs the air carefully.

It's fine it's your job to protect the young ones. You're not use to patrolling. We just wanted you to have a little break, plus you never hang out with Jade and I much" Diamond told Thorn who nodded.

"I know but we're always doing two completely different things. I miss spending time with you Jade, and I barely know a thing about you Diamond." Thorn says as the others two nodded, "Yeah we know. We have all been bad about that, but don't worry you'll get to know us better again." Jade says as Thorn finally relaxes a bit.

"Alright let's continue patrolling then, I'm sure everything is fine." Thorn says as the three continued walking.

Meanwhile Tyson was trying to stop the chaos his two friends were creating. "Hey stop it! Tyson says as he notices Blaze had almost knocked over the pile of trash Diamond and Jade used to make announcements from, and Dove was chewing on a random slice of overly molded pizza. "Dove get that out of your mouth that's just utterly disgusting." Tyson says as Dove drops the pizza and runs off saying,

"Hide and seek Tyson's it." Before both dart off. "Just great!" Tyson groans out tiredly, he was starting to see why Thorn needed a break. Alright guys here I come." Tyson says acting as if he didn't see Dove who was clearly visible.

"I wonder where Dove is." Tyson say feigned wonderment in his voice as he tapped her, "Found you." Tyson says as Dove looked at him, "How did you find me Tyce?" Dove ask before saying, "Nevermind that when is Thorn going to be home? No offense, but I miss you being my big brother not the mother like Thorn is." Tyson sighs, "She'll be home soon, and a male parental figure is called a father common knowledge really." Tyson says making Dove giggle, "Now that's the Tyson I know, come on let's find Blaze he has to be around here somewhere." Dove says as both her and Tyson start searching for the newest member.

Twenty minutes later they had yet to find Blaze. "Alright Blaze we give up where are you Tyson say stumped before hearing a yelp, "Tyson, Dove, some help please." Blaze said from above them making both look up, "Blaze how in the great street dogs did you get up there?" Tyson asked the slightly younger pup, "I climbed you for an egghead you sure are dumb." Blaze says snarkiness filling his voice as Tyson rolled his eyes at Blaze's comment.

Then Blaze almost slipped off the beam before regaining his balance, "Better question is how are ya getting me down without killing one of us." Blaze says as Tyson gets and idea, "Dove let me get on your back," Tyson says urgently as the dog looked at Tyson with confusion, "Why?" Dove questioned.

"Because you're bigger than me." Tyson urgently replied as Dove stands up a look of disdain on her face, "Are you saying I'm fat?!" Dove barked out disdain filling her voice as Tyson finally hit the end of his rope, "Just do it please." he growled as Dove sighs, "Fine."

Tyson got onto Dove's back and then stand on his hind legs thankfully being able to reach Blaze, "Alright Blaze we'll get you down in no time, "Dove! Lie down." Tyson says as he grabs Blaze's scruff. Bringing them down, "Are you okay Tyson asked looking at the other two pups who nod "We're fine." They both say in unison as Tyson sighs in relief, "Thank the great street dogs." He muttered to himself. Waiting for Thorn's arrival.

An hour later Thorn, Diamond, and Jade return to a clean enough territory and two sleeping dogs while Tyson looked exhausted. Jade and Diamond also looked exhausted but Thorn didn't seem fazed at all, as she went over to Tyson, "How we're they." She whispers, as she lies down near Dove as Tyson does the same saying tiredly, "Let's just say I much rather be the big brother then the father." He said quietly as Thorn chuckles,

"Understandable they're a pawful aren't they." Thorn asked nuzzling Dove and looking over to Blaze who was sleeping peacefully in his part of the territory. Tyson nods his head, "Definitely, but I would not have it any other way." Tyson says curling into Thorn who puts her head on her paws, "Neither would I she commented to the already sleeping Corgi mix as she looked at her territory and her pack before falling to sleep as well.
