I was looking back a few days ago and found this one shot j never posted and decided to edit and post. It's shorter then usual, but j hope you enjoy it💖 also this take place like a few days after Georgie finds Pumpkin

Georgie sighs sitting on the floor of her one room apartment near her bed the little puppy that she had just adopted right beside her. "What am I going to do with you pup… I mean Pumpkin. I don't know the first thing about raising a puppy. I raised cats and took care of horses, but never have I ever taken care of a puppy. My parents forbade me from getting one. Oh they would kill me if they found out." Georgie rambles out to the puppy who just looked at The young adult in confusion as she understood only like half of what Georgie had said. Georgie just calms herself down looking at the puppy as she grabs a toy for Pumpkin.

Pumpkin just waits for her to throw it, wagging her tail. Georgie smiles as she notices the dogs' complete attention to the toy. "Pumpkin fetch." Georgie tells the dog who quickly snagged it, bringing it back. Georgie just smiles. "I think it's time to teach you some basic commands." Georgie told the puppy who cocks her head in confusion Georgie just smiles she didn't have any treats on her, but she didn't think Pumpkin needed them. She loved toys more than food.

"Pumpkin sit!" Georgie told the dog firmly but not firmly enough to scare the puppy; that was the last thing Georgie wanted to do. The puppy just cocked her head again as she was confused about what Georgie was wanting. Georgie just gives the pup a smile as she gently pushes Pumpkin butt down making the puppy look even more confused. Georgie just repeats the words. And Pumpkin got a look of recognition. She remembered that her old owner used to tell her that word. It meant to sit on her rump. Is that what Georgie wanted her to do? She wanted to see.

The puppy then gets back up wagging her tail, wanting Georgie to say it again so she could see if she was correct. Georgie just sighs and says, "Pumpkin sit." Pumpkin only hesitates for a moment before sitting down. Georgie just looked at the puppy in shock. Every book she had read since she was in elementary school told her that it could take weeks for dogs to learn things. Yet, here Pumpkin was getting it on her second try. "Good girl Pumpkin, good girl!" Georgie told the puppy handing Pumpkin a tug toy, one of Pumpkin's favorite toys. And played with the puppy so that she could  get some of her energy out.

Pumpkin happily just plays Georgie was way better then her first owner, and way kinder her owner never let her play after doing a trick. So this was an amazing change. "What's next?" Pumpkin asks excitedly as she also knows how to stay, roll over, and lie down. Georgie just smiles as she guesses the dog was ready for more.

"Pumpkin lie down." Georgie told the puppy who quickly does as told Georgie just looked at the puppy in confusion she knew Pumpkin was a year old, but who trained her. The vet says she was most likely a stray all of her life. "Good girl Pumpkin." Georgie tells the puppy who wags her tail at the praise. Georgie then looked to the clock. It was growing late and she had work the next day.

"Come on Pumpkin it's late let's go to bed." Georgie told the puppy who nods instantly jumps up on Georgie's bed. Georgie groans, but let's the dog stay where she is.
