Owner, why do we have to  go camping? Mira asks as she and Pumpkin  follow Georgie  to  the edge of a forest they would be staying  at for the day. Mira knew Georgie  loved the outdoors and it was their day off, but why the woods. Why stay out in a dangerous  open place?

"Come on Mirs it's  not that bad, camping is fun. Georgie  took me once before and it was so awesome, trust me nothing  will hurt us if they do I'll  protect you lil sis." Pumpkin  says as Mira rolls her eyes and huffs.

"I'm  not scared, just a bit worried  is all. I mean you and crazy wild creatures  don't  go well together." Mira defends  as Pumpkin  looks at her in confusion  and offense. "Do I seriously  have to remind  you of the falcon incident?" Mira asks as Pumpkin  rolls her eyes at her over cautious  sister.

"It was only once stop being a worry wart." Pumpkin  barks out in irritation as Mira groans she hated being called a worry wart when she was just looking  out for Pumpkin.

"Okay," Mira says quietly as she watches her owner put up the blue tent adjusting  on the dried crackling leaves that still covered the forest grounds as Pumpkin  went to explore  the area.

"Pumpkin  stays close to the camp.  The farthest you can go is the creek understood?" Georgie asks the dog who nods.

"Of course owner." Pumpkin  barks out but Mira knew better than to believe  her and so was Georgie  who although  was giving Pumpkin  her space, was also keeping  an eagle eye on her. While Mira herself just handed Georgie  the tent bars.

"Alright guys, let's go get some wood to make a fire. Georgie  calls out to both pups who nod and follow  Georgie  to find some dry wood to cook their food on for dinner. With all three of them looking  it did not take very UUlong, and Georgie  started cooking  hotdogs which were a big treat as Georgie  rarely ate them and that meant the pups barely  ate them either. In fact Mira only  had one in her whole life.

……..

By the time  dinner was over the moon was rising and the stars scattered  the sky in a beautiful  display. Mira had never seen so many stars before.  In fact she has barely  seen in stars before  since New York City had too many lights.  Georgie  and Pumpkin  were already in the tent settling  down, but Mira opted to stay and look at balls of light a bit longer

Mira was distracted by her thoughts though by a series of quacks. "Help, help, belp." Mira just stood up quickly perking  her ears the sound was coming from her right and she had a feeling  if she followed the creek she would find the culprit  of the noise.

Although  Mira hated the forest she couldn't  ignore a cry for help. It just wasn't  her and after a quick mental debate she decides to go help the voice. After walking  for a few minutes  Mira sees a  bramble right by the creek where the quacking  is coming  from. "Help I stuck, I'm  stuck." The voice desperately  cried. Mira just frowns.

"It's  okay little one I'll  help you just hold on a minute Mira barks out as she ggrabs one of the branches carefully  allowing  herself a way to get in. She then crawled through  the mucky dirt.  "I'm  Mira what's your name duckling?" Mira asks as she reaches the duckling.

"I'm  Milly." The ducklings  introduced as Mira nods reaching for the duckling  with her mouth  causing the duckling to shrink back afraid that Mira would eat her.

"I know your scared but the only  way I'm  going  to get you out I'm  gonna have to use my teeth. I promise  I  won't hurt you little one." Mira says her sincerity  clear in her voice  and the duckling  nods. Mira just gently  grabs the duckling  and backtracks until they were out.

"Thank you, thank you thank you?" The duckling  quacks happily  as Mira looks at her reflection  in the water. Georgie  wasn't  going to get her for getting  this dirty, but it was worth it.

"Your welcome Milly, now where's  your…" before  Mira could finish her question a bald eagle land right beside her causing  the dog to shy away. "Please don't  eat me!" She tips out terrified by the huge powerful bird. The eagle just looks at the dog in amusement.

"I won't  eat you hero dog, you just saved my baby.  Plus dogs taste bad anyways." The eagle says as Mira looks between the bald eagle and the baby  duckling taking in what she just heard.

"Wait your her mother… okay, and you promise  you won't eat  me?" Mira asks as the bald eagle just nods.<"<877 di

"She's my adopted daughter  and if it weren't  for you. It would have taken me much longer to find her. Thank you so much, I'm  Adira by the way.' The eagle says as Mira nods again.

"I'm  Mira  and it's no problem it's  my job to help other people and animals." Mira told the Eagle who nods.

"Do you live near hear by any chance?" The eagle asks as Mira nods. Looking back in the direction  of her tent, and then hearing  Pumpkin  frantic barks.

"I gotta go that's  my sister and it sounds  like she is in trouble  again." Mira says with and eyeroll the Eagle just stops her. "I'll  give you a lift I know  about  every animal around  this part of the woods and I'm  respected I'm  sure I can help." Adira says as Mira nods.

"That would be greatly appreciated,  thank you." Mira barks out as the eagle flaps her huge wings.

Alright, I'm  gonna pick you up with my talons. I won't  hurt you it's just easier for me that way." Adira mutters as Mira nods letting  the eagle pick her up and fly off.

Mira hated flying. She rather have her feet on the ground,  but she had to admit  flying with an eagle and duckling  was really cool it was different  from airplanes and crazy Tempest.

After about  a minute the eagle lands on a branch nearby seeing a black bear slamming  it paws on the ground. "Whoa, whoa dude I'm  sorry. I didn't  mean to wake you up." Pumpkin  barks out clearly  terrified the huge bear in front of them.

The bald eagle just gently  put Mira down and puts her wings up to protect both pups. "Twigs calm down can't  you see their new here. White dog did not mean any harm just leave them alone. Before I give you another scar." The eagle squawks madly as the bear just saunters back to it cave obviously  intimidated  by  the  other woodland creature.

"Thanks Adira." Mira says with a simple nod as the eagle nods making sure her little duckling was still on her back.

"No problem, hey since you live nearby you should totally come to visit us. I'm  sure Milly would love it, and I  would too." Adira says as Mira wags her tail.

"I'll  definitely  think about  it. Our house is just across the creek you should come over too I'm sure Georgie  won't  mind." Mira barks out as the eagle nods flapping  her wings and flying off.

"Who's she?" Pumpkin  asks in confusion  she had definitely  missed something  that seemed to be important.  Mira just chuckles with a fond eye roll.

"Let's  just say your  not the only charmer in this family  sis. Their my new friends Pumpkin an Eagle a duckling  and a dog who would have thought ." Mira says with a wag of her tail as they head back to their tent before  Georgie  could wake up and freak out.
