It was a normal day for Thorn except she finally had some time alone with just Dove. It was another March day and Thorn and Dove were just hanging around in the sewer.

"Thorn can I ask you something?" Dove asked quietly from Thorn's side. Thorn nodded, "Yeah sure what's on your mind Dove?" Thorn asks sitting down sniffing the air cautiously.

"Why did my mother leave me to fend for myself." Dove asked as Thorn sighs she had no idea why. She just knew Dove was alone when Thorn found her. "I don't know Dove. I don't know any of the reasons our parents left any of us, but hey at least you're not alone anymore. " Thorn says reassuringly as she licked the pups head.

"Eww, Thorn that's gross." Dove barked out making Thorn laugh, "Sorry Dove." Dove nods, "Thorn can I tell you anything?" Dove asks hesitantly as Thorn looks at the pup, and nods, "Of course you can Dove. What is it?" Thorn asked a bit concerned before suddenly hearing a noise. "Dove get under me Thorn growled lowly.

Dove quickly does as told knowing that tone, as the don't disobey me tone, and did not want to get on Thorn's bad side. And peeks out from the golden bronze coat to see what was going down.

"Who are you and what are you doing in my territory!" Thorn growled  out as white dog that seemed to be a bit older then herself. This dog was also a few inches taller then herself.

I'm Ibis and I'm here to see if my little Swan is with you." The white husky says as Thorn looked at her confused. "What does this Swan look like." Thorn asked as she glance down to Dove who was  still under her fur.

The husky answered, "White flowing fur brown eyes. Way to small to be a husky" Thorn's blood went cold as that was the exact description of Dove. Could this really be her mother. Thorn had to admit Ibis looked a lot like Dove other than the fact Dove had Pomeranian in her.

Dove then peeked out seeing the massive husky. That oddly looked like her the husky also noticed, "Swan I have been looking for you everywhere!" Dove looked at the husky confused before walking even further under Thorn. "My name isn't Swan it is Dove." Dove told Ibis.

Ibis then lowered herself to the pups height. "Well who named you Dove pup." The husky says glaring at Thorn. Dove who couldn't see what was going on answered, "Well Thorn did she names every pack member that doesn't have a name." Dove told the husky who turned to Thorn. "Why did you rename my pup!" She growls out as Thorn lowers herself not wanting to fight but wanting to protect Dove from whatever was going to happen.

"You abandoned her! And she said she didn't have a name. How was I supposed to know exactly?" Thorn asked as Dove just watched. "Well you should have left her where she was." The other dog said rudely as Thorn stands up "She was a month and a half old there was no way I was leaving her when she said you had left her for a week and a half. This is my territory get out of her." Thorn growls giving a warning snap.

"Not without Swan come on darling." I bis days as Dove just backed up and growled. "No you were never there for me you never cared! Thorn did she's a way better mother than you could ever be so get out of here before we force you out! This is my home and Thorn is my mother end of discussion!" Dove said as both pack members stood tall.

Thorn was shocked when hearing Dove stand up for herself like that. And was shocked that Dove actually returned her feelings. She always loved Dove as a mother would her daughter, but she didn't think Dove felt the same way.

Finally the other mother dog back down seeing both meant business and left. Growling, "I would have been a way better mother." Both Dove and Thorn roll their eyes as Thorn looked at Dove.

"Do you really think of me as your mother?" Thorn asked quietly as Dove nods, "Of course I do you saved me and calm me you are always their for me. So yeah I do and I can tell you Tyson feels the same way as well." Dove told Thorn happily as Thorn smiled, "That's because you're my pups I would do anything for you two." Thorn says wagging her tail as they start walking out of their territory.

"Hey Thorn um..  do you think we have time to play catch the bottle?" Dove asked with a smirk. As Thorn rolls her eye and laughs, "Of course we do the pack won't be back before night fall. Just don't tell Tyson." Thorn says making Dove yip happily, "Yay I won't I promise!" Dove say grabbing a bottle and throwing it to Thorn as they play
