April's Adventure In Pupsitting prt 2

April groans as she sees the small dog going further into the drainage pipe. "Seriously! I guess Georgie was telling the truth when she said  Pumpkin could be sneaky. Now how am I going to find her?" April says to herself as she has no idea where the small dog would go.

Meanwhile Pumpkin had just made it to Diamond's territory. "Hey Diamond you there? Pumpkin called out quietly as she heard gentle paw steps coming from the box Diamond used for shelter. "Hey leashed dog you're late." Diamond told Pumpkin who rolled her eyes, " Sorry Diamond I have a new pupsitter and she is a lot harder to throw off my trail. I had to go through the drainage pipe to get here!" Pumpkin says dramatically making Diamond roll her eyes as she uses that drainpipe to get to the park. "So what! I use that route everyday to get to the park." Diamond tells Pumpkin who smiles, "I know, anyways what's planned today that doesn't involve the park I have a feeling April will be waiting for me there." Pumpkin told the cat.

Diamond nods looking at one of the other drainage pipe, "Well it will take a little traveling but there's a place I been meaning to show you. But you never had the time so whatcha say leashed dog?" Diamond asked the dog who wags her tail." I have the time let's go!" Pumpkin barks enthusiastically. Diamond nods, "Alright then follow me leash dog." The cat says slyly as she jump into the other drainage pipe. Pumpkin following close behind.

About thirty minutes later Pumpkin saw the light at the end of the drainage pipe, "Yay! Now will you tell me where we are going." Pumpkin says impatiently as Diamond roll her eyes, "I told you it would be a place you'd enjoy now come on! " Diamond yells out as she quickly ran out of the pipe into the open. "Hey wait up!"  Pumpkin barked out. As she tumbles out of the pipe, and out onto a grassy area. "Where are we?" Pumpkin asked amazed by the sight of what she guessed was another park.  "This is Central Park." Diamond said waiting for Pumpkin to pick up where this was going.

Pumpkin cocked her head why would Diamond bring her to Central Park, but then it came to her. "Wait are we going to see the Balto statue?!" Pumpkin barked excitedly as she had been wanting to see that statue since she had learned about Balto. Diamond chuckled, "Yeah I heard you mention it quite a few times. I was going to take you a few times ago, but you had to rush home " Diamond told the dog as she had heard Pumpkin talking about Balto before, and how she had never seen the famous statue. 

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" Pumpkin squealed as Diamond flicks her tail irritably, "You're welcome now come on the Balto statue is still a five minute walk, and I know you like being home before dinner." Diamond told the dog walking away. Pumpkin huffing before following behind.

Both animals walked through the street casually Pumpkin trying to hold back her wagging tail. "So have you ever been to the statue before?"  Pumpkin asked trying to make small talk. "Yeah I have seen it before but I am a cat so it doesn't matter much to me." Diamond told her as she flicked her tail to the left, and continued walking

Diamond and Pumpkin finally made it to the bronze statue. Pumpkin looking at it in awe, "Wow this statue is amazing Diamond. Thank you so much for bringing me here." Pumpkin says to the cat who smiles, " You're welcome Leashed dog." Diamond told Pumpkin happily as they continued to admired the statue, and chatting. That is until both heard a familiar voice. "Hey Pumpkin, hey Dia. What are you doing here?"

Pumpkin and Diamond both turn around to see Treasure, "Hey Treasure. Diamond brought me here to see the statue of Balto." Pumpkin told the Tortishell cat.

Meanwhile April gave up waiting and went back to Georgie's apartment as she had forgotten her phone there by mistake, and she wanted to tell Georgie what happened.

When she went into the apartment building she must have looked annoyed because the secretary came over to her, . "Oh I know that look you must be Pumpkin's other dog sitter, and by the expression on your face I'm guessing she did her escape artist trick again." The secretary says to April who nodded.

" yeah she did, and wait she does this to everyone who pup sits her?" April asked in disbelief. The secretary nodded, " Yep though she has only had two others she escaped them quite a few times. Don't worry though she'll be back before dinner she always is." The secretary told April who just nods taking in the information and looking at her watch depending on what time her dinner was she would be home in about an hour.

Pumpkin looked at the sun in the sky as Diamond does too. "We better getting you home otherwise you're going to be late for dinner." Diamond told Pumpkin who nodded, " You got that right! We'll see you later Treasure."
Pumpkin tells Diamond's sister as both Pumpkin and Diamond run off.

About forty five minutes later Pumpkin could see her apartment building, and sighs not wanting the day to end. "You know sometimes I do wish I had the freedom you do just so we can spend more time together. We don't get to do this nearly enough." Pumpkin told Diamond who nods. " I know we don't, but don't worry you'll always have me. Now go on I'll see ya around leashed dog." Diamond told Pumpkin smirking. Pumpkin rolled her eyes, "You know it alley cat stay safe." Pumpkin says before heading inside.

Pumpkin went inside her home to a mad April. "Uh oh maybe I should have just stayed with Diamond." Pumpkin thought to herself her tail and ears lowering. "Pumpkin sit." April says as Pumpkin's mood changes when she hears the command who did April think she is. Pumpkin just stares at her, and then just groans, " You're still not the boss of me." Pumpkin barked out now glaring at April as this was still her house.

It was April's turn to groan. Why was this dog so difficult. She had an easier time with her dancers then with Pumpkin. "Why won't you listen to me dog!" She says exasperatedly. Pumpkin jumped on her bed, " Because I'm the boss." Pumpkin says still glaring at April, but stops when she heard the door open.

April also looked at the door before looking at Pumpkin, "Don't you dare try it Pumpkin." April told the dog sternly. Pumpkin shook her head. Why would she try it she could smell Georgie; her owner was home. April also sighs in relief as she sees that it is Georgie.

Pumpkin immediately went to Georgie sitting gown and giving a half an eye and smirk to April who looked at the dog in disbelief. Before looking to Georgie.  "I don't know if anyone else has told you this before but your dog is an absolute devil when you're gone. She wouldn't even listen to the commands I gave her." April told Georgie who chuckled a little.

"Is that true Diva Dog?" Georgie questioned the dog who looked up innocently at her, "What why would I do such a thing?" Pumpkin barked still looking innocently at her owner who chuckled at the dogs feigned innocence.

"I'm sorry about that April, I don't know why Pumpkin treated you that way she usually loves people and obeys them. She'll warm up to you sooner or later, and thanks again for watching her." Georgie told April who nodded, " Your welcome, I do love Pumpkin, but I rather you be with her next time since she actually listens to you." April says heading out the door.

Once April was gone Georgie looked down at Pumpkin, "Oh what am I going to do with you Diva Dog." Georgie asked picking Pumpkin up. Pumpkin in reply barked, " Love me like you always do of course "
