A Misunderstanding

A short fic to kind of introduce some manifest characters I love crossing over with Manifest and these stories so I  decided to add them into a few of my one shot on them. Just a few thing in this the manifest characters  are normal and this is before  the plane taken off. Or the plane didn't  happen. Olive and Cal or ten and there will be no Eden  sadly. If you want to see baby Eden than I  reccomend  my story When All Heck Breaks Loose there's  a lot of Eden in that way. Anyways I hope you enjoy  vote and comment 💖

Georgie  sighs as she hears the doorbell ring. Pumpkin and Mira just look at Georgie  in confusion as it was her day off. No one should  be coming today. There was another knock this time a voice came with it. "NYPD  open up." Georgie  just looks at the dogs  in confusion as she quickly  goes to the door opening  it. 

"Um hello, what can I  help you with?" Georgie  asks as her two pups growled at the two officers outside their door. "Pumpkin, Mira  behave." Georgie  says calmly, making both pups stop. The two officers just looked  at each other in confusion. They had come here because there was a complaint of this woman abusing  her dogs, but these dogs did not look abused in the slightest.

"Are you Georgie McCall? Owner of Pumpkin  and Mira." One asks as Georgie  nods.  Pumpkin  and Mira just look at Georgie  worriedly. Both animals knew the police could be bad. "Alright um we got  a report that you were abusing  animals. Would  you mind if we have a look around?"  One of the police asks. Georgie  just smiles and nods. She had nothing  to hide.

"Of course but can I  please get your names? It would  be easier to  talk to you if I didn't  have to call you  officer. Georgie  said kindly. They just look to each other. 

"Detective  Michaela Stone." The blonde one introduced  as Georgie  nods. The other one just hesitates  for a moment. 

"Detective  Drea Mikami." The brunette says as Georgie  smiles and let them through. 

"Come on in, I have nothing to hide." Georgie  says as the detectives nod, walking  in.

"Well you're  house is definitely  big enough for your  two pups. Where do they sleep." Drea asks questionably  as Georgie  quickly led them to the dogs playroom where crates, which she never used were.

"They usually sleep with me, but they have crates in here if they want to sleep in them, and they are crate trained." Georgie  says that's when both detectives  look over to the puppies.

"Who in the heck would call about your pups being abused? You have a very pet friendly  home. The photo they showed us showed your  white one with scratches all over her." Michaela says as Georgie  rolls her eyes.

"That's  because  Pumpkin  is a mischief maker and has a horrible pupsitter. I'm  working  on getting  a new one, but I swear when that happen it's right to the vet.

They're also therapy  dogs so getting  hurt is sometimes just part of the job, but again we 
always go right to the vet if something  bizarre happens. " Georgie  says as Michaela nods.

"Wait therapy  dogs. Do you guys happen to know Cal Stone?" Michaela asks curiously as Pumpkin  and Mira nod they had met Cal plenty  of times  before. Georgie  just kind of looks at Michaela  before nodding  slowly. 

"Yeah, I  know every kid in that children's hospital, why?" Georgie  asks as Michaela smiles her nephew always talked about  two therapy dogs who were the best. 

"He's  my nephew, and he loves you and your dogs! He thinks it's  amazing  how  many tricks you do with them. Our family  has been trying  to meet you, but your always gone when we come around. " Michaela says as Georgie  chuckled. 

'I'm  a makeup artist I have to leave by two to get too work, and I visit four other places so its busy, but I'm  glad we make Cal's day." Georgie  says as Michaela nods. 

"Michaela, we need to go. Boss has another  mission for us." Drea says Michaela just nods, grabbing her bag. Georgie  just smiles and quickly grabs one of her cards she kept around.  

"Here take this. It has my contact info if you or your family ever want to contact me, and my house is always open if you need anything." Georgie  says as Michaela nods in thanks.

 Thank you, you might be getting  a call sooner or later." Michaela says as both cops left making  Georgie  sigh in relief. She had no idea who would report her for abusing  animals, but oh well at least her pups were still with her. That all that mattered.
