Small But Mighty

Her home was warm and snug and was quite beautiful. The black pug enjoyed being a leashed dog and couldn't understand why anyone wanted to be a street one. This pugs name is Jade and she was a runt but Jade never let that stop her. She was the most determined pup you have ever seen.

Jade lives with her two amazing owners who had gotten her for Christmas just a few months earlier. "Hey Jade we're home." She heard her owner call as Jade wags her tail running towards them, but wait something smelled different what was it? Jade finally manages to get a closer look at the bundle in her female owners arm. And was surprised to see a baby. "What the fluff!" Jade barked out in unbelief how could her owners do this to her?

Jade meet Isabelle she the new addition to our family." Her lady owner say excitedly as Jade groans she had heard what happened when a baby came in a family and it was bad new for a dog especially as a puppy.

A few weeks pass, and things we're getting worst for Jade as the baby was a nightmare and thought of Jade as a personal chew toy, and Jade had the marks to prove it. Jade limped over to where she smelled food she had not been fed in days, and she was starving at this point she might as well live on the streets

Jade watches as the food was served hungrily, "Owner can I have some tonight please." Jade begged making her owner groan, "Jade will you hush it we already have so much noise." They exclaims Jade sighs, she wants to get out of this life so much. For once she wants to be free she wants to live on the streets and never return.

That night she executed her plan as she finds a loose vent slipping through the vents, "Goodbye forever family." Jade says quickly darting through the vents and out of the apartment building .

Jade had to admit living on the streets and hunting was hard, but at least she was free and wasn't being chewed on or starved to death. So she took the everyday struggle until....

A big black dog came to her. Saying he could use her in the pack, which Jade was surprised by as she was a runt and was very small compared to others of her breed, but she accepted. Not knowing what she was getting herself into.

The pack she had just joined had just three members not counting her. One being a bold yet sweet Irish Setter mix and the other being a nerdy Corgi mix. They were kind to her but the alpha not so much.

Fang was rude and horrible and vicious you did not want to mess with him unless you wanted punishment for it, and trust me you did not want punishments Jade learnt that very quickly.

Thorn quickly took Jade under her wing and taught her the way of the streets. Jade really enjoyed learning what the elder dog had to teach,and quickly learned the ways of the street from her.

Jade continued working hard, and was soon confident of who she was despite Fang's insults at her being a runt. Jade never gave up and soon was one of the best hunters and defenders of the pack even beating Thorn.

After learning what Thorn had to teach though she started to notice specific things in her two friends such as scents of fears and worry, to their hushed speaking late at night. It worried her quite a bit and Fang wasn't helping.

Jade started to despise Fang more and more as she started longing to be the alpha. She would lead with justice and kindness to all her pack members.

Her mind really started wanted to be alpha when they met this sweet innocent white pup. Who Jade felt every need of protecting in fact all three of the pack wanted to protect the pup from Fang.

The pup was named Dove by Thorn who believed would be the hope of their pack and Jade knew she would be as she was going to protect Dove with all that she had, and just looking at Tyson and Thorn would do the same.

One hundred eighty seven days, not like Jade was counting, but Tyson was for her. That's how many days Jade had suffered in this pack and she wasn't going to be able to take much more of it.

"Thorn when can we take on Fang? I know we can win." Jade asks as Thorn sighs, "Soon Jade I promise very, very soon." Thorn reassured before hearing the low growl both dreaded, "What did you just say, are you really planning my downfall runt." Fang growls.

Thorn quickly stands in front of Jade? "It's my fault Fang.." before Thorn could finish Jade growled, "No it wasn't it's all me. Don't protect me Thorn." Jade says looking challengingly at her alpha. "Who growls I'll deal with this later I have to hunt." Fang growls looking at Jade and Thorn before stalking off.

Jade sighs not liking that, but looked to Thorn, "I'll be outside working on my shadow skills she says as Thorn nods, "Alright be safe." Thorn says as Jade walk out of their territory.

Jade practices her stalking in the alleyway for a few minutes before noticing a white dog with no collar on quickly noticing the dog was lost. She also realized it was the dog Fang kept talking  about. She had to get the dog out of here now.

She heard the white dog ask, "Where am I." Jade quickly answered, "Somewhere you shouldn't be!"" Jade says forgetting she was hidden in the shadows, but remembers she is when the white dogs asks, "Who are you." Jade quickly answered as she smelled Fang smell getting closer to them.

"Someone who is trying to protect you. Alpha will be coming any minute, and won't hesitate to kill ya..." Jade trailed off as she sees her alpha behind the white dog.

Well, look who it is hey Pumpkin. Looks like someone is lost. It time for my revenge!"Fang says, as Jade quickly runs out of hiding as she couldn't let Fang hurt Pumpkin. "Leave her alone Fang she has done nothing wrong she just stepped into our territory by mis..." Once again Fang cut Jade off.

"That's Alpha to you Omega and I get to choose what happens to this. Leashed dog." Fang snarled as Jade snarled back, before looking to Pumpkin, "Run Whitey I got this!" Jade say, as she launches at her alpha not being able to take it any longer.

They scuffled for what felt like hours Jade dodging every one of Fang's blows due to her small size. She was beginning to tire though, before Fang could hurt her though she saw a dog catcher so she quickly slipped into the shadows watching as Fang got taken away as she gaped. Did she really just do that?

Jade shook it off of course she did, she was small but mighty and she was ready to face whatever hardships were coming her packs way starting with the white fluffy dog named Pumpkin.
