Take A Break!

After two long weeks Lily had enough  and makes sure her friend takes a break.

Hey everyone  been a while since I posted in this one shot book. Just so you know if you don't  know Terrance and Angus are Lily's  kittens. I know I've mentioned  them before  but  never actually  used them so yeah just wanted to let you know enjoy 💖

Georgie  got home very late on a Sunday  evening  and she and her pups were very exhausted from the day they have had. "  Lily, Brook, and Rascal were already asleep at least. Georgie  hoped she was. It was one in the morning after all.

Georgie  flops on her bed barely  missing Angus  who hisses in surprise. Why did Lily have to bring the two kittens with her? She loved Angus,  but he was always in the way. "Stay out of the way dumb cat." Georgie  says irritably, scaring the black and white speckled kitten. Who quickly  runs off to Lily's  room in fear.

Pumpkin  and Mira just looked at Georgie  worriedly. Georgie  hadn't  had sleep since the day before and They were all exhausted and tomorrow  would be busy too.

Lily wasn't  dumb, a little distracted… yes, but she knew Georgie  since they were six she could read her like an open book. Georgie  had been working way too much lately  and Lily barely saw her anymore  that's  why she had cancelled  everything  the next day to let her rest and she was literally  not letting  anyone through  the doors until  the next day. Georgie  needed a break that was certain. 

There was just one thing: how was she going to  out stubborn Georgie. Georgie  was already irate and Lily did not feel like another  argument  especially  since Georgie  was only going  on three hours of sleep. She then  turned to her kittens "Hey could one of you guys go turn off Georgie's  alarm?" Lily ask quietly, the white speckled  one immediately cowers away. The bolder one nods though  and heads to Georgie's room  quickly and quietly.

Mira saw the black figure  walk in and sniff the air. It was only  Terrance, but what was he doing  in here? She watches carefully  as Terrance jumps on the bedside table, and turns off the alarm by pressing one of the many buttons on Georgie's  alarm clock.

"What are you  doing?" Mira huffs quietly  as the kitten stops in its  tracks before  running  back to Lily's  room as quickly as he could.  Mira rolls her eyes and follows, going  into Lily's  room that was painstakingly  clean for it being Lily. She then jumps on the bed which sank beneath  her paws like a marshmallow.

"Oh hey Watchdog, guess you saw Terrance  and wondered what we were doing right?" Lily asks as Mira looks at her skeptically, and nods. "If you're  thinking  it's  a prank it isn't. Listen you have to promise  you won't  tell Georgie  what were doing." Lily says as Mira huffs.

"I can't  promise  until  I know what you have up your sleeve!" Mira barks sharply as Lily sighs she had a feeling  Mira  didn't  like her all too much. Lily didn't know why though.

"We canceled  everything on Georgie's  calendar  tomorrow. She needs to take a break, all of you do." Lily says as Mira nods for once Mira agrees with every word Lily says.

"How are we going to  get  her to relax  though?  Georgie  is very stubborn." Mira says as Lily  sighs.

"I'm still tryna figure that out girl." Go back to bed though me and the cats and Ras can figure this out" Lily says as Mira nods, jumping  off the bed, and  going back to her room.

Georgie  wakes  up to no alarm and looks over to the clock stunned by the time. She should have been at the VA hospital  an hour  ago! "Lily if this is one of your dumb pranks I am going  to kill you!" Georgie  calls out warning and from the kitchen Lily gulps as Terrance sat beside her watching as she cooked eggs and pancakes which she thankfully  hadn't  burned. She had burned her arm, but she could deal with that later.

"Lily, what  are you  doing! Last time you tried cooking  you nearly set the house on fire!" Georgie  says loudly  Lily just sighs if this kept on continuing  the whole day she knew she was going  to  have a headache tonight.

Georgie  would ya please stop the yelling. I know how to cook well enough  and I'm  not burning  the house down. You need a break. Poppins you're  tired you've worked two weeks in a row with no break and I'm  honestly  a little worried about  you." Lily says.

Georgie  just groans, "Lily  I had so much to do."  Georgie  says as Lily  rolls her eyes. You didn't  really, and you can visit  them next week." Lily says as Georgie  sighs looking  at her pups who nod.

"You win mainly  because  otherwise we'll  just spend the day arguing. Plus I do admit the pups could use a break." Georgie  says Lily  just gave her a look, and  Georgie  huffs. "Fine, I need a break too you happy?" Georgie  asks as Lily nods.

"Thrilled come 
 Poppins. I got a new movie yesterday and you'll love it." Lily says as Georgie  give a small smiled not even trying  to act annoyed. 

"As long as it's not a cartoon or Descendants then let's  watch it. I'll  even take one of your dumb Marvel movies right now."  Georgie says as Lily looks at her  in feign offense.

"Why Poppins, Marvel movies are not dumb!" Lily says as Georgie  chuckles, causing  Lily to crack a smile.

"I'm guessing  it's a Marvel movie than?" Georgie  asks as Lily nods and Georgie  groans. "You and your Marvel movies." Georgie  says with a playful eye roll as Lily puts their food on the coffee table. Putting  the movie in. 

"The four pups, two cats, and their owners sat on the couch in content silence as the movie started. Mira then looks to Lily  and barks so bad.

"Maybe you aren't  so bad after all.
