Jealousy

Diamond and Jade  were sitting in Diamond's territory just relaxing as they waited for Pumpkin who should be off today, and talking about anything and everything that came to mind. When Diamond asked Jade something, "Hey Jade? Have you even seen Pumpkin lately?" Diamond asks the black dog who shook her head, "No not lately which is strange usually she shows up once a week maybe more. What about you" Jade asks worry lacing her voice.

Diamond shook her head, "No I haven't either. I haven't even smelled her while I was out hunting which is strange since she loves the park, but you heard her howl last night she wanted to meet here in the morning." Diamond told Jade who nods her head.

" Yeah I know, but she's pretty late it's almost noon, and I can't leave my pack hanging all day." Jade says as she had came at sunrise to see Pumpkin who still hadn't shown up yet, and Jade really needed to hunt for her packs meal." Diamond sighs knowing Jade was right about that Diamond really need to hunt as well, as she was starving, but wanted to make sure Pumpkin was okay since it had been a few weeks, and Diamond was worried she had gotten injured.

"Yeah I know I need to hunt too. But I'll make you a deal once we see Pumpkin we'll hunt together eight paws are better than four right?"  Diamond asked as Jade nods, " You're right maybe we could even convince Pumpkin to go with us." Jade says happily as she really wanted to enjoy some time with her dog friend.

It had been around three hours of waiting and now Diamond and Jade didn't have a choice, and had to go and hunt. "Well I hate to say it Stripe, but I need to hunt whether you're coming or not. I have mouths to feed, and I can't wait around for Whitey any longer, even though I want to. " Jade told Diamond who sighs, but nods, "Yeah I'm coming I need food too. I guess Leashed Dog forgot about us again."

Jade sighs, " Yeah and we don't even have anyone to be jealous towards." Jade barked making Diamond chuckle, " Yeah I know either she has a new best friend or she injured, and I don't like either." Diamond told Jade who nodded. " Yeah I know." Jade says tail drooping as they headed towards the park.

Diamond then gets an idea, smirking making Jade roll her eyes, "Are you going to tell me why you're smirking or are you just going to just keep plotting in your head?" Jade asks playfully as they get to their hunting grounds. Diamond just smirked more laughing, "You know me to well Alpha Dog. After our hunt how about we use the secret hatch, and check on Pumpkin? I know you have to get back to your territory, but I know you're just as curious as I am." Diamond told Jade who cocked her head.

" I don't know Diamond that's kinda risky don't you think. I mean what if Georgie or one of her pupsitters are there?" Jade asks as Diamond rolled her eye, " First off her two pupsitters moved, second off we'll just stay hidden so are you in?" Diamond asked Jade who still hesitates, but nods.

"Yeah I'm in! You know I can't say no to that. You're right I'm just as, if not more curious then you are about this. Plus I miss my other friend no offense Diamond." Jade told Diamond who nodded, " None taken, because I feel the same way now come on lets hunt I don't know about you but I'm starved."

Jade chuckled and nodded, " Yeah I'm starving too, and I think I smell some mice around let's go. The sooner we hunt the sooner we get to spy on Pumpkin.

After their hunt the two friends quickly ate their meal  and sat down for a few more minutes, before Jade got up, "Come on Stripes we should go to Pumpkin's now, I don't have all day you know." Jade told Diamond who nods, "Alright lead the way Alpha Dog."
