PERCY JACKSON
I remember it like yesterday...
Annabeth sat down on the couch.
"I'm thinking about girl names. I want her to be... regal-like."
"What do you have in mind?"
"Samantha..." she murmured, flipping through her book.
"What about Loren? Rae?"
"Samantha Loren Rae Jackson!" Annabeth leaped off of the couch.
"We have a thing with long names," I laughed.
"Yep," she chuckled.
ANNABETH JACKSON
This is the most nerve-wrecking moment of my life. Snape appeared.
"Good luck, Jackson... and uh... Jackson," he cleared his throat, "I can look after Zoë, and here's your potion."
He took out a vial.
"Just drink the whole thing. Warning: it tastes awful."
I examined the light pink liquid.
"Are you sure it's not a love potion?"
"No, dear," he rolled his eyes, "Of course, not."
I chugged it down and retched at the taste.
"Good luck," Snape smiled and walked off.
I entered the room, where they'd set up a cute little area for me to give birth.
"Aw," I said as I examined the puffy pillows.
"I can't believe I have to go through this like... next week," Piper shook around like a nervous domino.
"Good luck," Nico said, clapping me on the back, "You've done this before."
"I'm ready for pain."
They hooked me up to the machine and I awkwardly lay there, just snacking on Lay's Potato Chips. Percy was next to me, holding Samantha Loren Rae--
"Percy, we need to figure out what to call her. I'm not calling her Samantha Loren Rae every single time."
"Uh...why don't we let her decide? When she comes out?"
"How about now?"
Percy patted my stomach.
"Loren..."
The baby kicked and I let out a grunt.
"Rae..."
The baby gave no reaction.
"Samantha..."
The baby started jittering.
"Well, let's just call her Samantha for now and she can decide later."
"I'm not calling her three syllables for no reason. I'm saying Sam."
"Sam it is," Annabeth shrugged.
ANNABETH JACKSON
I nodded.
"Okay, then. Sam, it's time to come out soon. Don't be so painful like your sister."
"Annie!"
I glared at him.
"Oh shit... I'm gonna go..."
