Kabuto stood up, also preparing to fight.
Kabuto attacked us with his snakes, forcing us to jump back. We activated our Susanoo and attacked him, but it turned out the man under the hood was just a snake clone.
Suddenly, the snakes started to melt, grabbing our attention.
"It's the ability to transform one's flesh into liquid," Kabuto explained, still hiding. "To detach and separate using one's one life substance. I've researched and applied the Hōzuki clan's flesh transforming ability to this technique".
Sasuke and I looked at each other as we realised who he was talking about.
"You know who I mean, right? Suigetsu. He can transform from human to water and back to human again. Plus, I have the amazing ability to recuperate quickly. I'll admit, it's a healing technique that I studied from the body of a woman originally of the Uzumaki clan".
"Karin," I breathed. It didn't take long to put the pieces together. Suigetsu, Karin. Two people in the group Sasuke put together. The only one left was... "What did you steal from Jugo?"
"Well done, (Y/N)". He sounded impressed. "That didn't take long. But this is a little different from the curse mark Jugo received from Lord Orochimaru. This is something I actually mastered myself, from the Ryūchi Cave".
My eyes widened. "You've been to the Ryūchi Cave?"
"Yes, that's right. I found it. Lord Orochimaru is not the only one to have reached it. I trained under the White Snake Sage and awakened this ability".
Sage mode. So then, I wasn't the only one with this ability.
I smirked. "So, Sage Mode, huh?" I put my hands in a hand sign only to be stopped by Itachi.
                              "Don't waste your chakra".
"But I can beat him!" I exclaimed. "I have the means to, you know I do!"
"Yes, but that Jutsu requires an immense amount of chakra. It's better to save it for your fight against Madara".
I huffed a breath, but didn't say anything as I turned back to Kabuto.
Kabuto cast the White Extreme Attack, attempting to disallow us from seeing or hearing. But with my 'senses,' I was able to dull the effects of that Jutsu on me.
I saw Kabuto go after Sasuke and used my Susanoo to block the attack.
"I'm impressed you can even move in that condition," Kabuto noted.
"You're not the only one who trained at the Ryūchi Cave".
Itachi walked towards us. "Do you two remember the time you tagged along with me on my mission?"
His mission to hunt a wild boar, back when we were still kids. We nodded as we realised what his plan was.
Itachi ran as Sasuke launched an arrow at Kabuto, which had him pinned. Kabuto tried to free himself from the arrow and grabbed Sasuke's sword and attempted to stab Itachi, who turned out to be a clone.
I then used the opportunity to attack. I ran towards him, but he managed to dodge and I just managed to cut off one of his horns.
"I cast the Reanimation Jutsu, you cannot kill me," Kabuto warned us. "And I can instantly recover from any wound you try to inflict. This is pointless. I've also shut off my vision, so the Genjutsu of your visual prowess won't work either. You have no chance. Because I cast it, the Reanimation Jutsu is invincible".
"It seems he doesn't know the true power of the Uchiha," Itachi thought. "We have a visual Jutsu just can be used against an opponent without eyesight in exchange for losing the light on one's eyes".
