Once my snake had been summoned, I knelt down and spoke to him. "I need you to make it past the small monsters to that guy in the middle while I go into sage mode".

He nodded.

Sasuke, who had overheard the whole thing, looked at me with wide eyes.

I ignored him, closed my eyes and placed my hands together as I gathered all the nature energy around me. This was my first time using sage mode since mastering it, so I was a little nervous, but I knew that there was no way I could defeat Seiichi without it.

I concentrated hard as I summoned a snake from the Ryūchi Cave to help me. I could feel all the chakra I was drawing in, making me stronger.

I could feel certain people staring at me with wide eyes, but I paid them no heed as I continued to concentrate.

Once I felt I had gathered enough nature energy, I opened my eyes and found myself staring into the soulless eyes of my so-called 'brother'.

I jumped down to the ground and turned around to face my companion. "Go help everyone else. I'll be fine on my own". He nodded then slithered away.

I turned back to see Seiichi watching me with a smirk. "That was some show you put on. To think, you managed to do what not even dad nor I were able to accomplish. I have to say, I'm impressed". I responded by unsheathing my sword. "You don't honestly think you can defeat me with that summoning, do you? Even if you have sage mode".

I held my sword up, preparing to strike. "Don't underestimate me! That was your first mistake. Your second was challenging me. And your third was betraying the Hidden Leaf Village!"

Without giving him a chance to respond, I raced towards him. I swung my sword down, but he swiftly moved away. I activated my Mangekyō Sharingan.

"You are expanding massive amounts of chakra," he commented while dodging my attacks.

I gritted my teeth, already getting frustrated. "For you, it's worth it".

Suddenly, black flames started making its way to me. I responded by deflected and countering the Amaterasu. Soon enough, the flames died down.

I smirked. "Thank you for showing me your Jutsu. It's just as I suspected. Your Mangekyō Sharingan allows you to copy any Jutsu, something the regular Sharingan can't do".

His smirk faded. He was clearly underestimating my powers of observation.

He sent me the Fireball Jutsu, which dissipated into thin air right before it reached me. He sent me Ninjutsu after Ninjutsu, which I managed to counter all of them. As soon as the fire died, I found myself surrounded by Seiichis. They raced towards me with their swords held high.

I looked around for an opening, but found none. Well, except one. Right before they reached me, I jumped high. While I was in the air, they all complete the same hand signs and a giant fireball raced towards me.

Immediately, I teleported away. As soon as I landed, a white beam pierced my stomach. This was his plan. Keep me distracted so he could attack me from behind.

Immediately, I used my snakes to patch up the hole in my stomach.

The two of us raced towards each other in a final showdown. Since the two of us were almost out of chakra, all we had left were our weapons.

We clashed countless times, neither one of us willing to give up the fight.

When our plan wasn't working, we jumped back and faced each other, out of breath. We then raced towards each other in a final attack. As I jumped away, I felt an immense pain originating from my lower abdomen. I looked down and saw that I had nearly been cut in half.

I tried to regenerate, but my eyes widened when it didn't work. 'No, I'm out of chakra!' It was then that my sage mode disappeared, confirming what I had just realized. The next thing to disappear was my energy as I sunk to my knees.

My brother gave me the evillest grin before he too collapsed as his final breath left his lungs. Even though I was also taking my last breaths, I smiled knowing that if I were to die, I would be taking him with me.

Unable to hold myself back any longer, I closed my eyes as the life left my body.

3rd Person P.O.V

The first thing Sasuke noticed was the summoning snake disappearing in a puff of smoke. Immediately, he turned to the centre of the battlefield to see his best friend and sister lying in a pool of blood next to his former partner – otherwise known as her brother.

He jumped down next to her body. He didn't let himself feel mournful as he turned to his former teammate and call out to her. "Sakura!"

He drew her attention and she immediately jumped down next to him and started healing their friend.

He knew she was still alive, he could feel it in his soul.

His eyes flickered over to the corpse of his clanmate. He walked up to him and opened his eyes to see his Mangekyō Sharingan still fresh. Pulling out a kunai, he knelt down and removed Seiichi's eyes from his face. He examined them and put them in his pocket with a smile.

She was going to need them when she recovered.
