I wasn't sure how long I'd been held captive. One day, the door opened and Konan walked in. Without saying a word, she used her papers to tie me up so I wouldn't be able to move.

She led me out of my cell in complete silence. I got the feeling she was upset with me. "Konan, I'm sorry," I said to her. She didn't even so much as look at me.

Eventually, she led me outside where I came face-to-face with Uncle Jiraiya. His eyes widened when he saw me. "(Y/N), are you Ok?" I nodded. We shared a look and came up with our plan. Immediately, he shot water at me, soaking the paper and enabling me to escape Konan's grasp. I fell into Uncle Jiraiya's arms. "(Y/N), you need to go back to the village".

Immediately, I shook my head. "No, I'm not leaving you!"

"Look at yourself! You're in no condition to fight!" He was right, I was so battered and bruised, I didn't even have the energy to heal myself with Medical Ninjutsu. "I need to be able to fight without having to worry about you". He was right about that too; I'd only get in the way.

After a moment of hesitation, I nodded. Before pulling away, I leaned towards his ear and whispered the one thing that could be the key to winning that fight. "Nagato". Without waiting for his reaction, I pushed away from him and used the last of my energy to teleport to the Hidden Leaf's front gate. The last thing I remember before everything went black is a bunch of ninja running towards me.

I woke up in the familiar Hidden Leaf hospital to be greeted by a very cross Aunty Tsunade and a worried Shizune. "Do you have any idea how much grief you caused us?!" Aunty Tsunade yelled. I flinched at her angry tone. Thanks to Shizune, she eventually managed to calm down. "What happened?"

I looked down sadly. "I got caught," I muttered quietly. After a moment of silence, I looked back up at them. "They wanted to know how much we knew about them. Don't worry, I told them nothing". I looked around. "Where are the others?"

"They're still out searching for Itachi," Aunty Tsunade answered.

I nodded in understanding. That's when I remembered. "I need to tell him what happened".

I started to get out of bed when Aunty Tsunade put her hand on my shoulder and gently pushed me back down. "We'll tell him, you are in no position to be out of bed".

Knowing she had a point, I nodded. I watched as they walked out of my hospital room. I soon drifted into a peaceful sleep.

I was woken up by something soft on my forehead. I opened my eyes to see Itachi giving me a soft kiss on the forehead. Once I had woken up fully, I jumped. "What are you doing here?" I whispered.

"I was worried about you," he answered simply.

"If people find you here, they'll kill you!" I warned.

He shrugged his shoulders. "I'll be fine". He looked down at me with concern. "What happened?"

"I got caught". I looked at him with a smile. "Sorry, but it looks like I won't be returning to the Akatsuki. So, what have you been up to?"

"I've been preparing for my fight with Sasuke," he replied.

"Where is this fight happening?" I asked with determination.

"The old Uchiha Hideout".

I nodded sadly. I clenched my fists in an effort to stop the tears from falling. "Please, don't do this," I whimpered.

He opened his mouth to reply when the door opened and we stiffened. I let out a sigh of relief when I saw that it was just Aunty Tsunade and Shizune. They stopped, seeing Itachi, but Aunty Tsunade didn't look all that surprised. "Itachi, you shouldn't be here".

"That's what I said," I retorted, glaring at Itachi.

"How is she?" he asked, ignoring my glare.

"I'm right here, you know!" I exclaimed, trying to get their attention.

Still ignoring me, Aunty Tsunade replied, "She was in pretty bad condition when she first arrived, but with enough rest, she'll make a full recovery".

Itachi nodded in understanding. He then looked down at me with a soft expression. "I have to go," he whispered. He gave me one last kiss on the forehead then disappeared. I stared at the spot he had once stood, fighting to stop the tears from falling.
