The Five Great Nations Mobilise

As soon as I got back to the village, there was a lot of paperwork to be done. Apparently, the Feudal Lords all approved the Allied Shinobi Forces. I had no idea leading an army would be so much hard work. I was so swamped; I didn't even have time to think about how nobody told me my biological brother was alive or that my adopted brother wanted me dead.

On top of that, with Aunty Tsunade still in her coma, Kakashi Sensei had been selected as the Sixth Hokage. It was a lot better than their original choice of Danzo!

After a lot of preparation, the meeting finally arrived. Apparently, Kakashi Sensei needed to be accepted by the Feudal Lord before anything became official. As the leader of the Allied Shinobi Forces, I was also entitled to be there.

I waited outside with Kakashi Sensei, trying to hide the nervousness I felt. Once he got called in, I followed behind him. "Kakashi Hatake, I appoint you-" the Feudal Lord started.

Before he could finish that sentence, Guy Sensei burst through the doors. "I have come to report a sudden change. Lady Tsunade has awoken from her coma".

My eyes widened. Without a single word, I ran out of that room and to Aunty Tsunade's. As soon as I got there, I slammed open the door only to see my godmother stuffing her face.

I waited patiently by the door. Once she was done, she looked at me. Letting my emotions take control, I immediately threw my arms around her. "I'm so glad you're alright," I said through choked breaths.

I pulled away from her, but didn't let go. "I'm so sorry I didn't tell you about your brother," she said to me.

I shook my head. "It's alright, I understand". I finally let go of her and looked away. "I was mad, I was so mad. But I've had time to think about everything, and I forgive you. I understand why you kept it a secret from me". I lifted my head to look at her as I thought about when Seiichi and I locked eyes. "I looked into his eyes and what I saw was terrifying. There was no humanity in him. He's a monster".

Seeing the terrified look in my eyes, she decided to change the subject. "The leader of the Allied Shinobi Forces, huh?" She smiled at me. I nodded shyly. She grabbed both sides of my face. "I am so proud of you". In response, I wrapped my arms around her again.

Later that day, I was taking a walk just outside the village trying to wrap my head around everything that had happened these past few years. Suddenly, I sensed someone nearby. I looked around, but when I turned back to the front, I saw Sasuke leaning on a tree just ahead of me. He held out a pendant. "I got you something. Consider it a late birthday present".

I just glared at him and walked past him, ignoring him.

He chased after me. "Are you still mad at me?" I didn't answer. "I'm sorry about Seiichi".

I raised an eyebrow at him. "Is that the only thing you're 'sorry' about?"

He sighed. "I'm also sorry about the whole thing with Karin and Sakura". I didn't reply. "So do you forgive me?"

I glared at him again. "No". He looked like he didn't expect that answer. I stormed up to him. "You tried to have me killed! After everything we've been through together! Do I really mean that little to you? I can't believe you, you're such a jerk!" I turned away. "I'm sorry, but what you did hurt me. it's gonna take a lot more than a simple apology to get me to forgive you this time". He went to grab my hand, but I dodged him. "Please go, before I alert Kotetsu and Izumo that Sasuke Uchiha is so close to the village".

He went to grab my hand again and this time, I didn't stop him, but I didn't turn around to face him either. I felt him place something in my hand before he let go. And just like that, his presence was gone.

I opened my hand to see what he gave me and saw the pendant he gave me as a wedding present. But there was something different about it. Instead of the plain Uchiha crest, there was a snake in the middle, to honour my dad as well as my mom.

I smiled and placed the pendant in my pocket. Taking a deep breath, I started making my way the village. However, I had barely taking a step when everything went black.
