Itachi led me to their base to speak with their leader. As we walked to their base, I kept my head held high, masking any of the uncertainty and fear that I felt.
He led me right to a man with orange hair and a lot of piercings on his face. "So you're Orochimaru's daughter," he speculated. "Can you show me these abilities I've heard so much about?" I activated my snake eyes. "What about the one on your neck?"
I shook my head. "It's sealed".
"And you don't know how to break the seal?" I stayed quiet. "Do you know how to control it?"
I shook my head again. "No, not anymore". He raised an eyebrow, signalling me to continue. "I did once, but I stopped using it so it went dormant. It recently reactivated when my father returned to the village, but it seems I no longer remember how to control it".
"How did you learn to control it?"
"I had a very gifted ninja training me". It was an effort not to look at Itachi.
"And who was this 'gifted ninja?'" I seemed to have piqued his interest.
Taking a deep breath, I answered honestly. "Itachi". I noted the way the leader of the Akatsuki glanced at Itachi behind me.
He thought for a while then spoke up again. "In that case, Itachi will continue to train you. And I heard you've been searching for your father". I nodded. "You can work with Sasori, he is also searching for Orochimaru. And you will join Itachi and Kisame in searching for the Tailed Beasts and you will help in the Sealing of the Tailed Beasts. Needless to say, you will be very busy". I nodded. He gave me an Akatsuki robe and a ring. "This was your father's". I paused slightly before taking it and placing it on my left pinkie finger.
After that, I turned and started to walk away until he called out to me. I stopped but didn't turn around. "I don't care what you do in your spare time, as long as it doesn't interfere with our mission". Without a single word, I walked away, Itachi following me.
As soon as I got a moment alone, I wrote a letter explaining that I had made it into the Akatsuki then sent it to Uncle Jiraiya using my bird.
3rd person P.O.V
"And you let her go?!" A very angry Tsunade was facing a very serious Jiraiya. They were talking about the mission their goddaughter had set on.
"She didn't exactly give me much of a choice. She's like her parents".
The kunoichi sighed. "Let's hope she knows what she's doing".
Jiraiya broke into a grin. "Come on, think about who we're talking about here! She's a very strong and capable shinobi. If anyone can do this, it's her".
The confidence the toad sage was emitting made Tsunade smile as she prayed to her dear friend. 'Are you watching, Chiharu? I hope you're proud of the woman your daughter is turning into'.

It had been a few weeks since I'd joined the Akatsuki. I had decided to keep a journal of everything I learned at the Akatsuki to show the fifth Hokage and Uncle Jiraiya.
One day, I was sitting on the steps leading to the base writing in my journal when I heard a voice behind me. "So you're the newest recruit".
I looked behind me to see a man with long yellow hair wearing a Rogue Hidden Stone headband and a weird-looking hunched-over guy wearing a Rogue Hidden Sand headband. The skin on the Sand ninja looked like the material on Kankurō's puppets. "Puppet Master Jutsu, huh?" They looked surprised so I explained. "You're not the first puppet master I've met". I raised an eyebrow. "Can I help you?" I learned that if I wanted to pull this off, I had to show as little emotions as possible.
The blonde spoke first. "I'm Deidara and my man here is Sasori".
I pointed to the puppet. "Sasori, as in my new partner concerning my father? I was wondering when I'd get the chance to meet you. I'll send you any information I find, and I expect you to do the same". I quickly wrote down the information I gathered on them, then quickly closed my journal and stood up. "Now if you'll excuse me, the person I'm supposed to be meeting is here". I signalled behind them and watched Itachi make his way over to us. They quickly turned and left as Itachi arrived.
Together, we started making our way to training. As we were walking, a crow landed on his shoulder. Something clicked in my head. "That crow..." My eyes widened as I realised the truth. "That was you?" He just gave me a small smile, confirming my suspicions.
Sasuke's P.O.V
I woke up to see Naruto, Sakura, a woman with blonde hair and a woman with black hair. Suddenly, Sakura threw her arms over me, cutting off my breathing circulation. It took a moment to remember what happened. I clenched my fists. 'Itachi...' I looked up and realised that there was someone missing. "Where's(Y/N)?"
Sakura and the blonde woman's faces dropped. Naruto looked equally as confused as if he were only just realising it. "Sasuke..." Sakura started. "(Y/N)'s joined the Akatsuki. Itachi came in here and recruited her a few weeks ago".
My eyes widened. I felt like the air had been knocked out of me. Naruto looked just as shocked. This must have been the first he'd heard of it. She promised me! She swore that she'd help me kill him, and then she went and joined the man who took everything from us. I'd never forgive her for this!

It had been a couple more weeks. Aunty Tsunade had assumed the role of Hokage. I had yet to hear from them about my mission. I was training with Itachi on my abilities when I saw a bird flying overhead and knew that Aunty Tsunade was calling me. After quickly ending the training, I grabbed my bag and journal and quietly made my way to where I needed to go.
I arrived at the clearing but froze seeing Kakashi Sensei standing there instead of Uncle Jiraiya or Aunty Tsunade. "What are you doing here?"
He closed the book he had been reading. "Master Jiraiya sent me. He and Lady Tsunade are busy so they sent me to pick up whatever information you have gathered". I was frozen. "They told me about your secret mission".
I rolled my eyes. 'Of course they did'. I pulled out my journal. "So far, I've only managed to find out information on the individual members". I watched as he took the journal. "I'm going to need that back, so you're going to have to quickly copy down the information and hand it back". After a while, he closed the journal and handed it back to me. I decided to ask him a question that had been weighing on my mind since I joined the Akatsuki. "How's Sasuke?"
"He's doing fine. He's recovered..." He seemed to hesitate.
I gave him a reassuring nod. "It's okay. I can handle the truth".
He took a deep breath and continued. "He hates you. He hates you for joining the man he wants to kill. He might start working towards killing you in the future".
I couldn't hide the sorrow on my face. I wasn't surprised in the least, but he was my brother. This was for the best anyways. Kakashi Sensei was about to leave when I called out to him. "Kakashi Sensei, can you teach me the Chidori, like you taught Sasuke?"
He thought about it for a moment before replying. "First, build up your speed. Come find me when you think you're fast enough". Then he disappeared.
As soon as I was sure I was alone, I called out, "You can come out now".
I turned around and Itachi was standing there. "You're a spy," he said, stating the obvious.
I raised an eyebrow. "Are you going to tell Pain?" He slowly shook his head. "Then what are you going to do?"
"I'm going to help you".
My eyes widened. "Why?"
"I want to keep the village safe as well. Besides, I don't want to see you in trouble of any kind".
I wrapped my arms around him. "Thank you".
He gave me a kiss on the forehead. "You're welcome". With that, we walked away, together.
