Hiruko vs Two Kunoichi

We waited by Gaara's body as the door was destroyed. It seemed they'd managed to get to our seals.

The four of them froze when they saw Gaara's dead body. I shot Kakashi Sensei an apologetic look. When we saw Naruto getting angry at seeing Gaara's dead body, Deidara and Sasori knew that he was the Jinchūriki.

It broke my heart to see Naruto acting like he was, refusing to believe Gaara was dead. Before long, they started arguing over who would take Gaara's body and fight Naruto. Then they started arguing over art. "Are you two really having this argument right now?" I yelled, shutting them up.

Before we knew it, Deidara had summoned his bird, taken Gaara and taken flight, leaving Sasori and me alone, to our unhappiness. "Deidara!" But he didn't listen. It seemed he'd succeeded in baiting Naruto as the latter soon chased after, Kakashi Sensei following, leaving us to fight Sakura and Lady Chiyo.

"I'll handle these two," Sasori said to me once he had calmed down. "This shouldn't take too long".

I chuckled. "Cocky as always Sasori". I straightened up. "Alright, I'll let you have this one. But if it proves to be too difficult, I'm stepping in". Although I still didn't know if it would be to save Sasori or Sakura. He didn't answer. I then moved to the side to give room for the fight.

Lady Chiyo started the fight by attacking Sasori and some of the kunai managed to hit Sasori's outfit. He then showed his puppet armour, Hiruko, and began his battle with Chiyo.

Lady Chiyo and Sakura rushed at Sasori. Sasori spit a rapid stream of poison-laced senbon out of Hiruko's mouth. Both Lady Chiyo and Sakura were able to dodge every single senbon. Sasori then released Hiruko's arm and launching it as a projectile, which released even more poison-laced senbon. Once again, Lady Chiyo and Sakura were able to avoid every single one of them, to our disbelief. While Lady Chiyo stood idly, Sakura rushed towards Sasori. He attempted to jab her using Hiruko's poison-tipped tail but his attack was blocked by Lady Chiyo, leaving Hiruko vulnerable. Sakura managed to land a massive blow on Hiruko, destroying the puppet. Sasori managed to get out of the rubble but kept his face covered. I watched in anticipation as he slowly turned around, revealing his face, much to Lady Chiyo's shock.

With his puppet destroyed, Sasori revealed himself to Lady Chiyo and Sakura, looking no older than when he left his village over twenty years ago. The girls were both unable to believe that Sasori hadn't aged in two decades. Sasori used Hiruko's head to launch another round of poison-tipped senbon, which Sakura just dodged. That's when we realised Lady Chiyo was using Sakura as her own human puppet. He then summoned a new puppet to battle with, revealed to be none other than the Third Kazekage. Sasori used the Third Kazekage puppet to launch more poison senbon towards Sakura; Chiyo managed to have Sakura evade the attack successfully. Using the Third Kazekage's poison blades, Sasori tried to stab Sakura, but the attack was blocked by Hiruko's tail, which Chiyo gained control of with her chakra threads. However, the tail managed to break on impact. Lady Chiyo was unable to block Sasori's Thousand Arms Manipulation. However, she was able to masterfully control Sakura to avoid any damage and pull her out of harm's way. I breathed a subtle sigh of relief. My relief was short-lived when Sasori countered by releasing poison gas.

Sakura managed to escape the poisonous gas by using a paper bomb to dissipate the gas. Sasori sent multiple kunai her way. Lady Chiyo blocked the move by using the "Mother" and "Father" puppets. Lady Chiyo had the Mother and Father puppets pull out wire string and had them charge at Sasori. The puppets managed to slice through the Third Kazekage puppet's Thousand Arms Manipulation. Sasori detached the left arm of the puppet before Lady Chiyo's could slice through them. After going through an intense puppet battle, Lady Chiyo managed to destroy the Third Kazekage's Buzzsaw while Sasori destroyed the Mother's sword and the Father's club. Sasori then decided to use the Third Kazekage's secret Jutsu: Iron Sand, known to be the most dangerous technique in Hidden Sand history.

The Third Kazekage, being a human puppet, was built to retain the chakra the body once had when it was alive, allowing the Third to use the Iron Sand. Sasori unleashed the Third's Iron Sand: Scattered Showers, which Lady Chiyo blocked using the "Mother" and "Father" puppets' chakra shield that she had installed, and managed to push Sakura out of the way in the process. However, the Iron Sand crept into the Father puppet's joints, rendering it useless. He then unleashed the Jutsu again, and Lady Chiyo used the Mother's chakra shield to save Sakura, and she managed to save herself by using the chakra shield she installed in her right arm, which turned out to be a prosthetic arm.

Sasori then formed the Iron Sand into high-density shapes. Having no more puppets left, Lady Chiyo was forced to fend for herself. Despite the fact that Chiyo only had one arm left to use her chakra threads, she was still able to help move Sakura out of the way of the Iron Sand in order for Sakura to use her strength to try and take Sasori down.

Sasori had formed the Iron Sand into a giant pyramid and rectangular prism, which he used to attack Sakura. Sakura was able to anticipate Sasori's movements and used her strength to punch and kick the pyramid and rectangular prism around the cave, causing the entire roof to collapse. I quickly jumped out of the way before I was crushed by any of the rubble. Sasori created more Iron Sand, which he manipulated into a gigantic sphere of branching spikes. Sakura, unable to block or evade the attack, was helpless as the attack rained down on her. It turned out Sasori had infused the Iron Sand with poison, and the Iron Sand's branches managed to cut Sakura, causing her to collapse due to the poison. He sent it towards Sakura to finish her off, only for Sakura to leap up and destroy the entire puppet in a single punch.

Sakura managed to destroy the Third Kazekage using her strength. She then used her strength to lift a boulder off of Lady Chiyo's remaining arm and used her Medical Ninjutsu to heal her. Suddenly, Sasori took his cloak off and revealed that he himself was a human puppet. Having equipped himself with various weapons along with his special brand of poison, he launched his attack against Sakura and Chiyo.

Sasori started using flamethrowers on the rocks that Sakura and Lady Chiyo were hiding behind. Lady Chiyo attempted to attack Sasori using the head of the Third Kazekage puppet, but Sasori just incinerated it. Sasori then decided to switch tactics by using his Water Stream Shooters to destroy the rocks and everything around it. Sasori tried to stab them using the poison stinger attached to the coiled rope from his puppet body, but Sakura just grabbed the poisoned coiled rope and used her strength to pull it. Sasori charged at Lady Chiyo, spinning the propeller blades attached to his body at a high speed. Before he had the chance to kill Lady Chiyo, Sakura managed to pull all of the rope, stopping his attack and sending him flying towards her. Using her strength, she was able to shatter the puppet, sending his core of living flesh out of the body. A small smile appeared on my face.

Sasori was my friend and I did care about him, but protecting Naruto was the most important thing, even if I couldn't do anything myself. My smile faded when the core of Sasori's "body" reinserted itself into Sasori's puppet body, which was then reassembled.

Lady Chiyo summoned ten puppets. Sasori countered with his Secret Red Move: Performance of a Hundred Puppets, summoning one hundred puppets. Sakura used her strength to try and fight Sasori's puppets while Lady Chiyo did the same with her Ten Puppets. Lady Chiyo and Sakura seemed to trap and defeat Sasori using Sealing Jutsu: Lion Roar, but Sasori secretly transferred his core into another puppet. Sasori then rushed towards Chiyo with a poison-tipped sword, intent on killing his grandmother, but Sakura stepped in front of her and got stabbed instead.

I wanted to run over to her, but my body wouldn't obey, nor would my mind. Instead, I decided I needed to have faith in my friend. 'Please be okay Sakura'.

Revealing another blade hidden in the joint of his puppet, Sasori detached himself from the sword and leapt backwards, preparing to rush forward to finish off Sakura. Lady Chiyo managed to block his move by stabbing him through his core using the "Father" and "Mother" puppets. With Sasori immobilised, Lady Chiyo revived the nearly dead Sakura using her reanimation Ninjutsu. I let out a sigh of relief. At full strength once again, Sakura punched Sasori.

"I'm going to do something pointless," Sasori said to them. "Think of it as a reward for defeating me. You wanted to know about Orochimaru, didn't you?" I straightened up at the mention of my father's name. "Go to the Tenchi Bridge in the Village Hidden in the Grass ten days from now at noon. One of Orochimaru's henchmen is working for me as a spy, and that's where I'm supposed to rendezvous with him. However, I don't think I'll..." We watched as his body went limp until it was no longer moving.
