Chapter 50

September 1st

"Hurry up Ronald walk quicker!" Hermione yelled to Ron who was behind us strolling like we aren't going to be late.

"Okay okay!" He said walking faster catching up to us. Rachel was amazed by all the wizards around her. She never thought you would take a train to a school. We handed in our bags and pets we had. Rachel kept her toad who I learned her name is Amelia. 

I walked my brother to an empty compartment and told him to be nice to anyone who was nice to him. And mean to anyone who was mean to him. He let his cat out of its bag and had it sit on its lap. I walked to a compartment with Fred, George, Rachel, Zamira, and Neville. 

"Hey, guys!" I said swinging the door open. 

"Hey, where were you? Wait let me guess saying hi to Draco?" Zamira asks as I sit next to her and Fred.

"No, actually I was settling my brother in," I say picking up Shadow and putter her on my lap.

"Draco that sounds hot." Rachel pips up.

"Uhm... He is my boyfriend first off second off don't talk about my boyfriend like that."

"Oh sorry, I didn't know." She says sinking into her spot. The rest of the ride is silent. I end up falling asleep on Zamira's shoulder and she falls asleep on mine. 

"Hey, we got 10 minutes before we're there, wake up guys." George's voice cuts through my sleep. I sit up and realize where I am. I reach under my chair and pull out my robe. I put it over my clothes and sit and wait the rest of the train ride awake. 

Once we arrive Rachel and my brother goes with the first years cause they need to be sorted into houses. That is what a letter from Dumbledore told them to do. My friends and I find seats at our tables. Zamira and I sit down and Draco is nowhere to be seen. The needed to be sorted head into the great hall. Following behind them is Draco. He rushes over to me and sits down. 

"Hey sorry I am late." He says whispering into my ear.

"Yea it's fine no problem."

"Are you okay?" 

I nod and turn my attention to the front of the room.

"Okay, we have two latecomers to Hogwarts this year. They will be sorted before our lovely first years." Dumbledore announces letting McGonagall take over the sorting.

"First up Adrian Flowers." 

Adrian steps up to the hat and it is placed onto his head.

"Hmmm, a half-blood, 4th year.. you're new here from America but was born in England, brother of Rebecca Flowers. Very Loyal you are... Hard-working... I know what to do with you. Hufflepuff!" The hat shouts and the Hufflepuff roars into cheers. He is welcomed at the table and sits by some fourth-years himself. 

"Next up Rachel Florence," McGonagall said putting the hat on her head.

"Another late-comer! 6th year... you have courage lots of it. I see you are snobby as well. Only 2 places for you but I think you will do well in Gryffindor!" The hat yells. I try not to laugh because he really called her out and called her snobby. She skips over to the golden trio all happy. 

Dumbledore goes over his speech like normal. When the food appears everyone started to conversate and eat.

"Are you mad at me?" Draco asks as I fill my plate with food.

"Oh, I don't know. You tell me not to come to your birthday because you wanted a break. I set my flight a couple of days before your birthday so I could come and hang out with you. I left my family in America to come see you. But you tell me not to come. I didn't want to cancel my flight so I went to the Burrow and stayed there while you had a party. So you take a guess."

"I'm sorry I just thought it was for the best after our fight."

"I guess." 

After the welcoming feast, I had to lead the first years to the common room.

"Okay curfew for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years this year is 7 pm. If you are caught in the hall by a professor or any prefect you might get detention or and house points taken away. The 4th and 5th years curfew is 9 pm same thing you lot. Detention and or house points taken away. The 6th and 7th curfew is 12:30 am. Same thing for you guys as the rest. You can go into other dorms and commons rooms just are respectful of everyone in there. The bathrooms are between those two staircases. Girls' bathroom and dormitory are on the left and the Boys on the right. Please head to your dorms and take a look. There will be no roaming the halls or common rooms at this time." I finally finish my spill about the rules and whatnot. I could tell everyone was very bored. 

"You did great! Want to sneak to the Gryffindor common room?" Zamira came up and put her arm around me.

"Only for a couple of minutes, we have class tomorrow."

"Okay agreed!" Zamira said sneaking us off to the Gryffindor common room. 

"Look came to visit us!" Cormac Mclaggen said with a smirk.

"Fuck off Mclaggen," I said walking over to a corner table where our friend group was.

"Ooo the Slytherin Prefect told me off." He said laughing. I turned around and flipped him off. God could he be any more annoying.

"Oh hey, little ladies," George said inviting Zamira to sit on his lap.

"Were not staying long we have to be gone in 20 minutes. So we have 10 minutes to get back to the common room." I said pulling up a chair. We had a conversation about our classes and what we were doing and how excited we were. 

I and Zamira headed back to the Slytherin common room. I let her stay in my room that night.

Okay, guys in the chapters I really hope you don't stop reading. I think a lot of you guys are going to be disappointed with the way the story goes and I really don't want that to happen. I hope you guys like my direction for this story and if not I am very very sorry.
