"What do I do Cream?" I asked her as she waddled over to me. It's been over half an hour since Jaden left, and I'm still sat against the door.

I finally decided to stand up and get in the shower. But as soon as I stood up, I got a massive head rush. I felt dizzy and unstable on my feet. I gripped onto the door handle for support while I waited for the blood to disperse away from my brain.

"Fucking hell." I mumbled to myself. I held my head as I slowly made my way into my bathroom.

It may have taken longer than usual, but I managed to get into the shower safely, and could wash myself. Once I got out, I decided that it would be best to not dry my hair, but to put it up.

The headache had yet to subside, so I decided that it was best to go and get checked out. I know that I'm a doctor, but I don't have the correct facilities in my home to be able to diagnose myself accurately. And besides it's always best to get a second opinion.

I wasn't going to risk driving, so I put a hat on, to stop myself from getting a cold due to my wet hair being in the crisp New York air. I put the dogs in their little pen area, and walked out of the building.

"Hello sexy lady, you aren't supposed to be working today." Cassie said as I walked in the hospital.

"Yeah, I know b-" my explanation was cut off by an immense pain shooting through my head.

"Roxy?"

I squinted my eyes shut and held my head in pain. The room started to get blurry, and Cassie's voice that was trying so desperately to get my attention was fading.

Before I knew it, my legs had collapsed from underneath me, and my body was falling to the ground. I didn't feel myself hit the floor completely, but my eyes were already too heavy, and the pain too immense for me to concentrate on it.

I woke up in a hospital bed. I groaned as I sat up. There was no one else in here, but the heart rate monitor continuously beating was going to give me a reason to break it.

"Woah, baby. You need to lay down." Peter said as he walked into the room.

"What's going on P?" I asked as I sat back, but didn't lay down.

"Well, the test we ran shows nothing abnormal, but we do advise that you stay with a partner or something like that. We don't want this happening again when you're alone." He said as he put my chart on the desk at the end of the bed.

"I live alone Peter. You know this." I dismissed.

"What about the baby's dad? You can't stay with him for a bit?" He asked as he sat down on the edge of the bed.

"Well-"

"Oh Elle, please tell me you know who the dad is." He sighed. He called me Elle.

"Yeah, of course I know who the dad is. It's just he already has a child to worry about. I don't want to have to put any extra burdens on him. And with his job, he barely spends time with her anyway. I don't want to take that away from her. She needs her dad. I'm fine on my o-"

"Roxella, don't you dare say that. You are not fine on your own, and it's okay to ask for help. I'm sure that if he's decided to stick around, it's because he wants to help." He assured.

"I know P, but I just can't. I told him earlier that I was fine. How is it going to help him or his nerves to know I lied to him? It's just going to look like I was lying because I didn't want to tell him." I argued.

"Is that what happened?" He asked.

"No, if I told him I wasn't feeling good then he would have told his mom to keep Leela for him. Jaden needs to take time to spend with his daughter when he can." I argued, not realising I said his name and his daughters name.

"Okay sweet. I'll leave you alone for a little bit, and I'll be back soon." He said as he walked out of the door.

"Daddy." Leela said as she walked into the kitchen. I had my back to her, but I could tell by the tone of her voice she had a pout on.

"What's up princess?" I asked as I turned to face her.

"Look." She whined as she held out my phone, which she was playing games on until it started ringing.

"Okay baby, one sec." I said as I took the phone. She sighed and sat on my foot, waiting for me to give it back to her. "Hello?"

"Hi, is this Jaden Hossler I'm speaking to?" I recognise that voice from somewhere.

"Yeah, how may I help you?" I asked.

"Perfect. My name's Peter, I'm a friend of Roxy's at the hospital. I'm calling in regards of her health and security, but she wouldn't call you herself, something about not wanting to burden you- actually, would you be able to come down to the hospital? I feel like this should be something said in person." He explained.

"Roxy?" I asked, seeing Leela's head pop up at the mention of her name.

"Yes."

"Yeah, that shouldn't be a problem, I'll be there within an hour or so." I said.

"Perfect, goodbye."

"Bye." I said as I hung up the phone.

"Go get your shoes on my little princess." I said to her. She stood up and trailed over to where her boots were.

"Where are we going daddy?" She asked as she zipped them up.

"We're gonna go and see Roxy. Now I got a big question to ask you." I said as I got the keys to my car and walked out of the door with her behind me.

"What is it?" She asked as she skipped down the driveway alongside me.

"You wanna sit in the front with me, or in the back?" I asked as I bent down next to her.

"In the front." She giggled. "Can we listen to-"

"Baby, daddy doesn't have the frozen cd in his car." I said, already knowing what she was going to ask.

"Oh." She said all sad. But then she immediately smiled again. "That's okay, we can listen to tangled instead." She laughed as she sat in her car seat after I had set it up.

"Yay." I said in a fake excited tone, even though in reality, I was now dreading this car ride.
