Jaden pov (around 5 and 1/2 months)
"And what would that be?" I asked her as I leant against the doorframe.
"Do I have a grandson or granddaughter?" She asked as she walked into the living room. "Where can I sit?" She asked again, stopping herself from impulsively sitting down.
"Oh my fucking god." I laughed as I sat down. "Anywhere else." I motioned to any other seat the sofa had.
"Watch your language." She said sternly as she sat down next to Roxy's legs.
The couch was in an 'L' shape and Roxy's head was in the corner where the two directions meet. I had sat next to her head.
"I'm 23 years old and in my own home. I really don't think my language is a problem here." I said in a bored tone.
"Anyway, do you know the gender?" She asked me as I smirked.
"We do." I said as she groaned.
"Jaden fucking Hossler." Roxy said from next to me. "Tell your mother the gender of her grandchild before I castrate you." She mumbled as she turned her body to rest her head on my lap. "Hi Amber." She smiled as she looked over at my mom.
"Hi baby, how you feeling?" My mom asked as she looked down at Roxy.
"I'm good thank you, how are you?" I sighed, waiting to see if they'd stop their fucking mother's meeting, which resulted in Roxy pinching underneath my thigh.
"Ow, that fucking hurts." I said as I lightly slapped her hand away from me, causing her to laugh.
"Since your son is showing no signs of telling you, I will. You're having a grand-" I quickly covered her mouth with my hand, just to mess about with her.
Should not have done that.
She fucking elbowed me in the stomach, and bit my hand at the same time. I groaned in pain as my mom and girlfriend laughed. I sat up after hunching over to decrease the pain.
"Are you done being fucking dramatic?" Roxy asked as I sat up.
"I hate you so much." I groaned as I held my stomach still.
"Uhuh." She said not believing me. "Anyway, Amber, you will have another granddaughter by the end of August." She smiled as my moms eyes lit up.
"Oh my gosh. A baby girl." She smiled. She was going to say something, but got cut off by a message coming through on her phone. "Oh gosh, your dad has found the bloody jelly preservative recipes and won't stop making different types." She laughed as she stood up.
She walked over and hugged Roxy, saying goodbye to her and the baby. I then stood up, hugged her, and walked her to the door. I looked into the living room quickly to see Roxy on her phone, so I went outside with my mom and shut the door behind me.
"Okay, why the fuck are you acting like you're trying to kill the president?" My mom laughed as she noticed I came out with her.
"I need to ask your opinion on something." I stated. She looked at me silently.
"Oh my god, you know sometimes it's hard to believe you're a police officer, what is it?" She said.
"Oh right. How would you feel about Roxy becoming Leela's legal mother? If she agreed to it that is." I asked.
"Well, she pretty much is, I wouldn't be opposed to it." She shrugged.
"So you'd be okay if I got adoption papers? If Roxy agrees to it." I asked her again.
"Of course I would. Look, Leela loves that woman, and she loves that girl, it's perfect. Roxy is basically Leela's mom as it is, she cares for her, she protects her, she loves her. I am more than certain that she would happily sign those papers. But is Leela okay with that? That kind of change can be big on a child, is she ready for that kind of change?" She asked as she sat down on the steps, me joining her.
"Well, that's what I'm going to do next. I thought I'd ask you first instead of asking Leela, and her possibly getting her hopes up for nothing if you said no. But I'm pretty sure that Leela would be more than happy with it. Last night she accidentally called Roxy, mommy, and when I asked her about it she asked why Roxy couldn't be her mom after asking me about Eri-"
"Don't say that foul woman's name to me." My mom quickly interrupted.
"Exactly, so I'm pretty sure she'll be fine with it. And if she is, then I'll make it something for Roxy's birthday in two months. And if she wants to go ahead with it, Roxy should be Leela's legal mother by the time the baby is born." I explained as she smiled at me.
"Well then, what are you doing still sat here? You have a baby girl to go and talk to. And then you have a pregnant girlfriend to love, so go." She laughed as she stood up.
I stood up with her, gave her one last hug and then waved her off before walking back inside.
"Why can't you be my mommy?" I heard Leela ask to Roxy.
I could see them sat on the sofa, Leela was sat on Roxy's legs, over the blanket, and was playing with Roxy's hair. I saw Roxy freeze for a minute, not knowing what she could say, but she quickly composed herself.
"Because baby, some things just can't be the way we want them to." She explained.
"But I want you to be my mommy." She said back, not understanding what Roxy meant.
"I know baby, I would love to be your mommy, but I can't be. For now, I am just Ro Ro-"
"No, you're not just Ro Ro anymore." Leela cut in.
"Okay, who else am I then?" Roxy laughed at her authoritative tone.
"Sometimes you'll be Ro Ro, and other times you'll be pop Rox." She said happily. I'm pretty sure my heart has melted.
"Well aren't you clever?" Roxy laughed as Leela laid down and rested her head on Roxy's chest, being sure to be careful of her stomach.
