(Leela-26//Jordan-22)
Leela pov
I promised myself I wouldn't cry. No matter how much I wanted him here, I knew he couldn't be. I loved the dress mom helped me pick. I couldn't wait to see Skylar in her dress. Jordan was a bridesmaid along with my daughter Kirsty, and her daughter Nix. Chris was a best man, along with Jordan's son Sam. Mom was here too. She flew in from New York.
The only person who I really wanted here couldn't be.
"Hey baby. How you doing?" Mom asked as she walked up to me.
She was going to be walking be down the aisle. I didn't really want it to be that way, but I guess one parent is better than no parent.
"I just really wish he was here you know? He was there for Jordy's wedding, why can't he be here for mine? I really want him here." I said as my lip trembled.
I knew I wasn't going to be able to hold it. Especially when she asked that question. She sighed and brought me into a hug.
"You know, I knew you were going to say that." She said as she pulled away. "That's why you should look over there." She said a she smiled at me widely.
My head snapped over to where she pointed and I almost burst out crying when I saw him stood there in a suit. I picked up the front of my dress as I ran over to where he was stood, engulfing him in a hug.
"I thought you couldn't make it." I choked out as I pulled away and looked at him.
"I told you I'd find a way baby." He said as he kissed my forehead.
Mom had left and gone in the main hall. She didn't have to walk me down the aisle.
"No no no, don't cry. You'll ruin your makeup." He said as he carefully wiped under my eyes.
"I genuinely didn't think you'd come." I laughed as I patted the underneath of my eyes.
"Never underestimate me." He laughed. "Now come on, we've got a wedding to start princess." He said as he held his arm out.
I smiled widely as I linked my arm with his. I haven't heard him call me that nickname in person for over a year, so it made me very happy to hear him say it.
We walked up to the doors and waited for the music to start. Soon we heard the faint sounds of 'Say You Won't Let Go' by James Arthur. The doors opened revealing all the guests stood. But the only one I was focused on was Skylar.
She was stood there in a pure white dress. It looked the same as mine, but mine was a dark blue. They were both floor length dresses, but neither of them were too flowy. She smiled bright when she saw dad stood next to me instead of mom.
When we got down to the end of the aisle, dad kissed my cheek before passing my hand to Skylar. She took my hand and kissed it as we stood in front of the priest.
(And skiiiiiiiiiip all the boring things)
"You may now kiss the bride." The priest said.
I took no time in lightly grabbing Skylar's face. I rested my head against her as our lips brushed together.
"I love you so fucking much." I whispered before smashing my lips onto hers.
The room erupted into cheers as she gripped my hips, pulling my body closer to her. We pulled away and smiled at each other, disappearing into a world of our own, guided by the claps and cheers of our guests.
We went to a different part of the venue for the reception. Mom, dad, Jordan, Kirsty, Nix, Sam and Chris were sat on my side of the table and Skylar had her family on her side of the table.
We stood up and did our first dance. I saw from the corner of my eye that my mom was crying as dad wrapped his arm around her. He tried to be discreet, but I definitely saw him wipe his eye slightly. I laughed to myself which made Skylar question me.
"What's so funny Mrs Hossler?" She asked me.
"Well, Mrs Hossler, my dad is actually crying and is trying not to show it." I said as she laughed slightly.
"He'll do anything to hide his emotions." She laughed.
When the song we were dancing to finished, the rest of the guests joined us on the dance floor. We pulled away and started walking around and greeting our guests and thanking them.
At some point Skylar and I had separated. She was with her family and I was with mine. Mom and dad were stood in front of me as Jordan was stood next to me.
"Congratulations my baby." My mom cheered as she hugged me. I laughed and hugged her back.
"Haha, I saw you cry." I laughed as I pointed at dad.
"I didn't cry. My eyes were leaking." He defended causing us all to laugh. "Well done princess." He smiled as he hugged me.
He extended his arm so that mom was there. Now there was only one person missing.
"Come here fuckface." I laughed as I opened my arm for Jordan to come and join the hug.
"My girls." Dad said as he kissed all of our heads.
I heard a few more kissing sounds than what I would've like so Jordan and I quickly pulled away.
"No it's fine, keep making out. Don't let my wedding stop you guys." I said sarcastically as they laughed and pulled away.
They both pulled us back into the hug and that was one of the best memories I had of that night.
Skylar in that sexy fucking lingerie was also something I remember vividly. But that was one of the only two that stuck out.
My family.
