Jaden pov
I watched as she drove herself further into a state of panic. She kept muttering and begging me not to let 'him' hurt her baby. I was confused, but didn't want to question her further. I just let her sit there and cling onto my shirt as I tried my best to comfort her.
She fell silent for a bit, and I thought she had fallen asleep, but when I looked down at her, she looked to be in a daze. I waved my hand in front of her face slowly to see if she was still here or was somewhere in her mind. What I wasn't expecting her to do was get on top of me, holding me in a headlock and slowly tightening her grip.
"Roxy? What are you doing?" I asked as I coughed slightly.
She didn't answer, and I was getting slightly worried as her arms were slipping down further and further. It wasn't long before her arms were fully wrapped around my throat and were still slightly pushing in. I had managed to get my hands between her arms and my throat, so I could push through and turn her.
I knew she was going to protest, so I wrapped my arms around her tightly to stop it. She had started kicking and practically screaming at me to let her go. I needed her to calm down slightly for fear of this attracting Leela's attention. Which she did pretty quickly. Instead of screaming at me to let her go, she started slowly whimpering and begging me quietly.
"Please James, just let me go." She cried as she tried to pry my hands off of her.
"James? Baby no. He's not here, he hasn't been for a long time. It's me, it's Jaden." I whispered to her, now realising she wasn't seeing who I really was.
"Jaden?" She sobbed as she looked up at me slowly.
"Yes baby. It's me." I said as I ran the back of my hand along her cheek softly.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm so fucking sorry. You had his face, I swear I didn't mean it. I'm sorry." She cried.
I just shook my head at her and wrapped my arms around her. Much to her slight protests for 'hurting me' I leant my head against hers and hugged her.
"It's okay baby. I'm not mad I promise." I said as I ran my fingers through her hair.
"You're not?" She sighed.
"No of course not. It's okay, you didn't hurt me." I tried to reassure as she leant her head back against my shoulder. "What did he do to you?" I asked, remembering she begged me not to let him hurt her baby.
"He killed my baby." She mumbled.
"What do you mean?" She's been pregnant before?
"He got me pregnant one night. Once I had found out and told him, he told me I had the rest of the day to get rid of it because he didn't want a kid. When he found out that I didn't do that, he took care of taking the baby away himself by forcing me to drink glass of vodka mixed with some sort of pill. He made me stay in the bed until he saw blood on the bed, making sure that he killed the baby." She explained with no emotion.
"I'm so sorry he did that to you. No one deserves that."
"I was being selfish. Keeping that baby would have done too much damage to that child. I was too weak physically and mentally to be without him and I would've just been putting the baby in danger constantly." She dismissed.
"Still Rox, that's not okay, that shit is illegal." I argued.
"It doesn't matter now. It's in the past and is long gone." She shrugged as she got up.
It was about six in the afternoon at this point, and I had only just now realised she had slept the whole day. She needed to actually get up and do something otherwise she'll feel like shit for the rest of the week.
"No, no, no. Baby, you can't go back to bed now." I said as I lightly pulled her away from the bed.
"But why?" She whined.
"Cause you still need to eat something and drink something. Come down and have dinner and then if you want, you can come back up to bed." I said as I started walking towards the door.
"But I want to sleep." She whined again as she reluctantly walked with me.
"God, you're worse than my four year old." I laughed as we walked into the kitchen. "Speaking of." I said as we saw Leela stood on the counter getting something from the cupboard.
"Hi daddy." She smiled as she turned around.
"Hello princess. What you doing?" I asked.
She smiled and turned back around to the cupboard and got out a jar of green pesto.
"You said we can have pesto pasta for dinner." She beamed as she held the jar proudly.
"That I did, what pasta do you want?" I asked, knowing she likes a variety.
"Can we have bows and tubes please?" She smiled as she looked at me with puppy dogs eyes.
"I suppose so." I laughed as I got them out.
I noticed that Roxy was just sat there watching us with a smile on her face. It's amazing how well Roxy gets on with Leela. Sometimes I actually have to remind myself that Roxy isn't her actual mom, which really is a shame because they always act like Roxy is supposed to be her mom. While Leela and I made the pasta, she didn't move once. She just kept watching us with a lopsided smile on her face.
"Try it." Leela demanded as she held a mozzarella cube covered in pesto up to my face. I laughed and ate it while we waited for the pasta to boil.
"That's very good princess."
"I know." She stated as she got off the counter and walked over to Roxy with another cube. "Here you go." She said as she put it in her hand.
"Thank you Peanut." She smiled as she ate it.
Leela waddled back over to me and climbed up onto the side. In doing so, her arm accidentally caught the side of the pan.
