Roxy pov

I was woken in the early hours of the morning. I felt something moving on top of me slightly and I freaked out for a brief moment as I temporarily forgot where I was. I calmed down a little bit when I realised it was just Jaden moving around. I looked around for a clock anywhere in his room. When I finally found one, I read the numbers, it took me quite a while because of having just woken up, but I soon realised that it read 5:45.

I groaned lowly as I realised that it was still so early, and the chances of Jaden waking up within the next two hours are slim to none. Which ultimately meant that I would be stuck here for however long it took him to wake up. I sighed and pushed my head back into the pillows. I ran my fingers through his fluffy hair and started to ravel it around them.

I didn't know how long I had been laid there, but what I did know is that my left arm had started to go numb. At some point I had decided it would be a good idea to lay on my arm, and now it's numb. I also nearly shat myself when I realised he had a giant mirror on his ceiling just above his bed, something I somehow managed to miss last night. That's unsettling.

"You good?" Jaden's raspy voice rung through my ears.

"Hm?" I asked, not quite sure what he meant.

"You're body jolted, almost as if you jumped. You good?" He asked again as he nuzzled his head further into my skin.

"Oh, that was me realising that you had a mirror above your bed, scared the shit out of me." I answered as he chuckled lowly.

"Surprised you didn't notice it yesterday, you know, with you throwing your head back as much as you did. Anyone would think you were trying to watch from a different angle." He teased as I lightly slapped him upside the head.

"You are just asking to be the story of a horror movie with that above your bed. Watching you sleep." I laughed as I raked my nails across his shoulder, watching the goosebumps form on his skin.

"No, you're just a pussy." He stated. I scoffed at his words and flicked his nose.

"Well excuse me for liking horror movies, but you do realise that this is how 90% of all good horror movies start; a mirror." I argued as he lifted his head off of my chest.

"Well, you do you I guess." He dismissed as he sat up. He stood up, and like usual, his bones performed in an orchestra.

"Jesus." I sighed as he turned to look at me.

"Problem?" He asked as he pulled a different pair of boxers up his legs.

"Your bones shouldn't make that sound when you stand up." I protested.

"Okay then, you seem to have an issue with my bones, why don't you stand up. I have a hard time believe it that your body is completely silent when you stand up." He said as he moved his hand in a rising motion. I sighed and stood up, my body not making a single noise.

"There, happy now?" I asked as I hit my arms against my sides.

"Oh I am definitely happy now." He smirked as his eyes trailed over my body, it only just occurring to me that I am naked.

"I bet you are." I laughed as I walked over to pick up my clothes from last night.

"Let me wash those. It was raining yesterday and I highly doubt that they will be comfortable." He said as he walked over and took the clothes out of my hands.

"What do you suggest I do? Walk around like this?" I said as I trailed my hand up and down my body.

"You see, as much as I would love to have you walk around my house completely exposed to me, my daughter is due to return home in about twenty minutes. So unfortunately you are just going to have to wear some of my clothes until yours are dry." He said with a small pout. I couldn't tell if it was real or not.

He walked into his closet, and walked back out with a hoodie, some sweatpants, and a pair of his boxers. He handed them to me, and I took them.

"Thanks." I said as I pulled the boxers and sweatpants up my legs.

"I would say it's my pleasure. But it's really not." He said, making me laugh.

I pulled the hoodie over my head and followed him out the room, not really knowing where I'm going. His touring skills weren't really top of his priority list yesterday.

"Do you want coffee?" He asked as we enter red the kitchen.

"Uh duh." I laughed as he did. While he was making the coffee, I heard his front door open. "I think someone's here." I said from my spot on the counter.

He looked up at me confused for a second, but all was answered when Leela came bounding up from behind him and attached herself to his legs. His knee buckled in a little bit, causing him to dip slightly, but he remained stood up.

"Hi daddy." She smiled as she looked up at him.

"Good morning princess. Did you have a good time at grammies house?" He asked as he turned around to be met with his mom stood at the door.

"We made cheesy bread. It was very yummy." She smiled as she played with his hair once he had picked her up.

"Did you? Well, you'll have to say thank you to grammy for letting you stay the won't you?" He said as he put her down. She then rushed over to his mom and hugged her legs.

"Thank you grammy." She said in an adorable voice.

"You are very welcome munchkin." She said as she bent down to Leela's height. She kissed her on the cheek and then stood back up. Leela had turned around to go back to Jaden when she noticed me.

"Hi Ro Ro." She squealed when she saw me.

"Hello peanut." I waved.

"What are you doing here?" She asked as she sat down on Jaden's foot.

"That's a very good question, Jaden, what is she doing here?" His mom asked him as she put her hands on her hips. He furrowed his eyebrows at her reaction, but nevertheless explained.

"Well I took her out to dinner yesterday to thank her for everything she has done. And by the time we were finished, we were closer to here than we were to her place, and it was raining really badly. So I brought her back here, warmed her up and then let her stay. Actually now that I think of it, mom, this is Doctor Roxy Hawthorne." He said as he pointed to me. Her eyes widened at the mention of my name. She looked over at me with a look that I couldn't quite read, and I smiled awkwardly.

"Oh my gosh." She said as she walked over to me. "Thank you. Thank you so much for keeping my grand baby here." She exclaimed as she wrapped her arms around me. I smiled lightly and hugged her back.

"Like I've said to your son many times before, there is no need to thank me. I was just doing my job." I dismissed as she pulled away. She grabbed my hands in hers and held them.

"No, you did so much more than that." She smiled as she kissed my knuckles and walked away.
