"Ro Ro?" Leela asked as she held my hand in the store.

"Yes sweetheart?" I asked as I turned to her.

"What are angels?" She asked as she looked up at me.  My mind immediately flashed to Liam.

"Angels are people who get sent from heaven to protect you. Sometimes they can be nice, and sometimes they can be dark angels. It depends. Why do you ask Peanut?" I explained as I placed bananas in the cart.

"We were talking about them in school." She said as she skipped off to the raspberries and strawberries. "Can we get both? Please?" She pouted with a cute face as she held up both trays of fruits.

"Hmmm, I guess so." I laughed as she squealed and put them in the cart.

"I think that's all the fruit we need." I said as I got her to hold my hand again. But that didn't last long as we passed the candy aisle.

"Can we get a candy please?" She begged as she stalked down the aisle.

"Now you look at me," I said in a semi-stern tone, attracting the attention of a woman nearby. "You can get one bag of candy. As long as you get a candy bag for daddy too, everyone knows that he will cry if you don't get him one." She giggled and ran off down the aisle.

I laughed and stood up from my crouched position. I was about to walk after her, when I felt a hand gripping my arm lightly. I turned around pretty sharpish, in defence but loosened my muscles when I saw the woman stood there earlier.

"Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you. I just wanted to say that you are very good with your daughter." She complimented as she pointed to Leela who was trying to decided between the Swedish fish and the sour patch kids.

"Oh no. You've got it wrong. She's not mine, she's my best friends kid. Her mom died when she was born." I clarified as I smiled softly.

I shouldn't be thinking of Leela being mine. She's not mine. I killed her mother.

"Well, it sounds like to me that you are still her mother figure. That's still a significant role. I can tell by your smile that she might as well be yours, you should enjoy that sweet pea." She smiled as she walked off.

"Ro Ro. Ro Ro. Ro Ro. Guess what." She repeated as she jumped up and down.

"Leela. Leela. Leela. What is it?" I mimicked her tone and excited manor.

"They have the purple sour patch kids." She smiled as she held up the bag.

"That's good isn't it?" I smiled as I took the bags from her hand and put them in the cart.

I took her hand in mine once again and we walked through to the register. I quickly paid, and we walked out to the dogs. We took them off the pole their leashes were tied to, and started to make our way back.

Leela said she was hungry, so I took the quickest way back I knew, and made sure to tell her we weren't playing in the park when we passed by Central Park.

It had only taken us thirty minutes get back, whereas on the way it took forty five minutes. Leela had run up the driveway and did a cart wheel when she got to the top. I laughed and applauded her.

"Go on then, go knock on the door and see if daddy's up yet." I laughed as she ran up to the door and started pounding on it.

"Open the door daddy." She laughed as continued to bang on it.

I laughed at her goofiness and waited for Jaden to open the door. After about five minutes of her banging on the door, someone had started banging on it from the other side, mimicking her knocks.

"Daddy, let us in." She laughed as she continued to knock in pattern.

"Who could it be knocking on my door at this hour?" Jaden joked through the door.

"Daddy please? I need a wee wee." She laughed.

I heard him laugh through the door and he opened. Leela giggled cheekily, giving away that she didn't need to go to the toilet, but just wanted him to open the door. She ran up to his legs and wrapped her arms around him. He laughed and bent down to pick her up.

"Hi princess." He smiled as she pushed his cheeks together with her hands.

"Guess what." She gasped, immediately letting go of his face.

"What?" He gasped back to her.

"It's a secret." She whispered shouted to him as he glared at her with a playful look.

"You got me all excited to tell me that?" He asked in bored tone as she nodded proudly. "Sneaky." He said as he tickled her sides, causing her to squeal.

"We got fruit for smoothies. That's the secret." She managed to get out in between her laughs.

I decided I was just going to walk past them and to the kitchen. I laughed lightly to myself as I still heard her laughing. I quickly put the bags down and took the dogs off their leashes. I hung the leashes on the side of then pen and started to unpack the grocery bags.

I put the candy bags on the side and started to take out all of the fruit. Leela came bounding in and tried to run away with her candy bag she had picked out.

"Excuse me miss." I laughed as I ran after to get the bag off of her.

I gave her a few minutes of me running slowly behind her, before I picked up my pace and grabbed her. She squealed and laughed as I threw her body over my shoulder, holding onto her legs, making sure she wasn't going to fall. I quickly took the bag of sweets out of her hands and carried her to the kitchen.

"Daddy, help me." She squealed out as she saw Jaden stood in the kitchen, eating a strawberry.

"I told you, specifically, that you could only eat the candy when daddy told you to, but because we both know he can't say no to you, I also told you that you couldn't eat them until after lunchtime. You are very sneaky Miss Hossler." I laughed.

I threw the bag on the counter, and over to Jaden who failed to stop them and let them fall into the floor. He quickly snapped into reality and picked them up from the floor, putting them in a cupboard.

"Awwh, boo." She pouted as Jaden laughed and shook his head at his daughter.
