Chapter 11

Roxy pov

"Doctor Ro Ro?" Leela voice chimed, bringing me out of the book I was reading. She was sat on Jaden's lap, who was now asleep and sitting in the chair, playing with the two dolls she brought with her.

"Yes Lee Lee?" I asked as I lifted her up to sit in the bed with me after she had wobbled over, her legs being numb from sitting down so long.

"Daddy says that you won't do my surgery because you aren't a doctor anymore." She said as she looked down. Surgery? She doesn't need another one?

"You don't need another surgery Leela. You're healthy now." I said confused as I lifted her head up.

"No, daddy said that I have to get one more, because the last one that you didn't do had gone wrong or something." She said as she curled up against my stomach.

There have only been three surgeries that I hadn't performed on her, due to me being booked for other surgeries too far away to be able to do them. And two of the three times I'd have to correct it because the others got it wrong in some way. The last surgery she had done that I didn't do was to remove some of the scar tissue on her heart. That's a serious issue if it needs to be fixed because it's her heart.

"Don't worry baby. I'll find a way to make sure I do that surgery." I said as I rubbed her hair.

"Thank you." She mumbled as she shut her eyes.

I reached over for my phone and sent a message to Peter asking him to come to my room. I just hope he hasn't given in that notice yet.

"What's up?" He asked as he panted, obviously having ran here from wherever he was.

"Be quiet." I warned gesturing to the two sleeping Hosslers in the hospital room. "Anyway, I really need you to tell me some good news, so..... please tell me you were the stubborn asshole you always are and didn't give my resignation letter to my boss yet?" I asked making my voice higher as my body filled with hope. He chuckled and leant against the doorframe.

"I prefer the words, supportive co-worker. And of course I didn't give it in. I took it home and burnt it. Not before copying up what you wrote just in case you were serious, but changing the words 'I quit' into something more sophisticated. All they think is that you're on sick leave." He beamed. "I knew you'd change your mind." He laughed as he went to walk out again as his pager went off.

"This is why I love you." I laughed with him as he left.

"So." Jaden's voice rang, scaring me shitless because I thought he was still asleep.

"Dickhead, don't do that. You're supposed to be asleep." I laughed as I put my hand to my chest in fake fear.

"You do realise that's illegal right?" He said as he sat up.

"Boo you whore. Go on then, report me. It's your loss, cause then you'll have some incompetent idiot performing your beautiful baby's surgery again. And they'll fuck it up. Again." I said in a 'duh' tone as I raked my hand through Leela's hair.

"When the fuck did she get over there?" He laughed, as he stood up all his bones cracked, making me look at him in shock.

"I don't think that Leela is the Hossler we need to be worrying about; you sound like you're made out of fucking bubble wrap." I laughed.

"Daddy always sounds like he is made out of fucking bubble wrap." Leela giggled as she sat up.

"Princess, no you can't say that. It's a naughty word." Jaden laughed as he picked her up from my lap.

"What, bubble wrap?" She asked innocently. She knows what she's doing. I heard Jaden sigh and looked up to see him shaking her head at him.

"No princess, the other word." He said as she latched onto his neck like a koala.

"You mean daddy? That's not a naughty word." She said in the same innocent tone.

"Baby." Jaden sighed.

"Oh you mean fucking?" She giggled into his neck. I had to hold back a laugh as I watched Jaden sigh again.

"Yes Leels, you can't say that word. It's naughty." He said as he laughed.

"But Ro Ro said it." She argued as she looked at him. I watched him as he tried so hard not to smile at her reaction.

"Yes, that's because Ro Ro is an adult. She may not act like one, but she is. So she's allowed to say it. You're my little bebe, so you aren't allowed to say it." He said as he sat her on his shoulders. She giggled and put her small hands in his hair as he held her legs that dangled down by his chest.

"Bitch. I act like an adult." I scoffed as I picked up my water to have a sip.

"Daddy's my bitch." Leela said as she tugged in Jaden's hair lightly. I spat my water out laughing at what she said.

"Roxyyyyyyyyy." Jaden whined as I continued to laugh. "Leels, you can't say that either baby. You know what? From now on, you aren't allowed to copy anything that Ro Ro says." He laughed as he took her off his shoulders and placed her on the floor.

"But it's funny." She argued to him as she jumped up and down, throwing a fake tantrum. This made me and Jaden burst into laughter at her actions.

"Sometimes I really don't like you." He said as he turned to me. I just smiled at him.

"Don't worry, I don't like me either." I laughed at him, causing him to give me a look. "Oh come on, that's funny." I protested.

"If you say so." He shrugged as he laid across me on the bed.

I laughed and signalled to Leela to walk over. She came over and I picked her up. I placed her so that she was stood on his back. He groaned as his back cracked once again as soon as I let go of her sides. She laughed and started to jump on his back slightly causing us all to laugh.

All the fun was soon interrupted when the doctor came in with a disapproving look on his face.
