Roxy pov

I quickly ran downstairs and into the kitchen, where Leela was stood along with Jaden.

"Leela, get away from the window." I rushed as I walked over and shielded her from the glass.

"Why?" She asked confused, as Jaden looked at me with his eyebrows furrowed.

"Just do as I say please." I sighed as she shrugged and walked into the living room.

I sighed and looked out the window to see him smirking at me. I almost threw up right there and then. I quickly drew the curtains that covered the glass, and made sure that no one could see in. I sighed in some slight relief and turned around to see Jaden looking at me, still confused.

"What on earth was that about?" He asked as he finished packing her lunch bag.

"I promise I'll explain later, just make sure you keep her on your left side as you walk out. Don't let her run ahead and make sure she's covered." I instructed.

"Babe, what are yo-"

"Can you just fucking do this Jaden? Please? Just don't question it." I asked.

"Okay. I will, just calm down a little. It's not good to stress yourself out." He said softly as he wrapped his arms around me.

"Come on daddy, let's go." Leela squealed as she came bounding into the kitchen.

"Alright, I'll be there in a second baby. Say bye bye to Ro Ro." He said as he pulled away from me slightly.

I bent down and she ran into my arms, giggling and laughing. She wrapped her arms around me and put her head in the crook of my neck. I pulled away and kissed her cheek, her doing the same before she ran off to put her shoes on.

I stood up and smiled slightly as I watched her run off. Jaden walked over and wrapped his arms around me. I sighed and rested my head in his chest.

"Please, please please please please, just keep her out of sight." I whispered to him. I felt him kiss my head a few times comfortingly.

"I will, I will. I promise I will." He whispered back.

He pulled away from the hug slightly and lifted my head with his fingers under my chin. He smiled at me slightly before bringing me in for a kiss. It was long and sweet. He pulled away and rested his forehead against mine.

"Keep her safe." I said to him, I felt him nod against my head.

"I'm her dad. I always will." He assured. "I'll be back soon. For now, go and have a bath and try to calm down just a little. You're really tense baby." He said as he pecked my lips a few times.

"Okay, I will." I nodded back a few times.

I watched as he walked out with Leela, him making sure she was always on his left, and staying next to him. I heard shuffling from next door, and it just so happened that the neighbour had to come out and put something in his bins. Luckily, Jaden had gotten Leela into the car before he came out, her being hidden by the tint he has on his windows due to him having the undercover police car instead of his own.

I scoffed and shook my head. I walked inside and went straight upstairs, taking Jaden's advice. I made sure the curtains and blinds were drawn before stripping down and getting into the bath. I made sure the bathroom and bedroom door was left open so that if Jaden came back and I was still in here, I would hear him.

Which apparently didn't work very well when I saw him just leaning against the doorframe, watching me.

"How long have you been stood there?" I asked as I sat up in the water.

"Best part of ten minutes." He admitted as he walked further into the bathroom. "Are you a little more relaxed now?" He asked as he picked up the towel and started to dry down my body.

"My body is, but my mind is still very on edge." I sighed as he wrapped his arms around me, pulling my body into his.

"Why? What's happened?" He asked as he ran his hands up and down my back.

"Let me get dressed and then I'll tell you." I said as I pulled away from the hug and walked out of the bathroom into the closet.

I quickly got changed and walked back out to see him sat on the bed, waiting. I walked into the bathroom quickly to grab my hair brush, and then sat in front of him.

"Brush my hair?" I asked as he sighed playfully.

"Turn around then, your royal highness." He said as he twirled his finger, motioning for me to turn around.

"You act like you're so hard done by." I laughed as I turned around.

"So, what happened?" He asked as he started to brush my hair.

"How long has that guy lived next to you?" I asked.

"You mean Patrick? He moved in over two years ago. Why?" He answered.

"He's a child predator." I stated simply.

"Woah. You need to be sure, you can't just go around throwing out that kind of accusation. Especially not to a police officer." He said, kind of shocked.

"Well I don't need to be talking to a police officer right now. I need to be talking to my fucking boyfriend." I snapped back at him.

"Okay, okay. I'm sorry. Just explain what's made you think that." He said as he turned me around so I was facing him.

"Yesterday, I let the dogs out, and when I went out to get them, Cream fell in the pool. I got a towel from the pool house and dried her off. I came back in, but then realised I didn't turn the light off. I went back out to turn it off and then Patrick started to talk to me. At first he asked me if I was one of your fuck buddies and when I told him I was your girlfriend, he apologised to me. I then asked if there was a reason he was just staring into your back yard over the fence, and he told me he was trying to see if he could look at Leela. He said that she looked really good in a swimsuit. When I shouted at him saying that she was only four, he laughed bitterly and said that made it better. That's why I wanted to keep Leela away from the windows and hidden by you. He came out when you were getting Leela in the car to put something in his bins." I sighed as I watched his face contort into something not far off of sheer anger.

"Give me a second." He said as he got up and walked off.
