Chapter 16 - Rivalry

It was mid November, I had been sneaking off to see Reg at any given moment but it had been hard that's for sure. And when we were together, he had a habit of looking round to check no one saw before he kissed me or anything like that.

I was walking with Sirius and Remus coming back from Divination class, Sirius and I were basically half asleep from how boring it was. My curly haired companion had actually fallen asleep on the desk and I had to open a book in front of him so it looked like he was reading. "I don't know why we took Divination." Sirius complained.

"It's an easy pass, say something about tea leaves and dark times ahead in your omens and you're done." Remus stated simply. I wasn't sure why I chose it for O.W.L.S I thought it wouldn't be that serious.

"Help me Moony! I'm so tired." Sirius said dramatically and threw his arms around poor Remus who was basically carrying him.

"No! Y/n help me!" Remus chuckled and pushed him off.

"I don't want to babysit the drama queen today." I grinned and Sirius gasped dramatically mock offended. Our jokes were interrupted rudely by Mulciber.

"Oi Y/n nice ass!" He called from across the corridor, walking over to us. The thing was, Regulus looked just as much like he wanted to punch him as Sirius and Remus did.

"I know right, that's what your ex girlfriend said last year." I smirked. Remus put his arm around me in a protective brotherly way but it earned a look from Regulus. Oh well, at least someone was standing up for me.

"You need to learn when to shut up." Mulciber growled "or I'll get Reg to teach you a lesson, you know what the Blacks are like with their curses." It was true, Bellatrix his older cousin had used the cruciartus curse on first years. It was a relief when she graduated.

"Fucking dare and I'll put you in the hospital wing for a month." Sirius threatened, I realized we all had our wands out now, pointing at each other other than Reg who held his down to the floor.

"Yeah? Wanna go?" Barty drew his wand "Stupefy!"

"Protego!" I made the hex bounce back on Barty which sent him flying into a wall. He hit it with a thud and fell to the floor unconscious.

"Aww she knows how to play." Reg smirked, I knew he had to pretend he was on their side other wise it would be suspicious but it still wasn't nice at all. "Careful darling. Wouldn't want any trouble now would we?" He said cooly as placed his wand under my chin and used it to tilt my head up so I was looking into his eyes, I realized he had me backed against a wall and there was no where I could step back to. If I started blushing now I would have to leave the country out of embarrassment.

"Finally Reg, I was begging to think you had a soft spot for her or some shit." Mulciber smirked.

"Soft spot?" He laughed as if the idea was totally ridiculous. "No. She's not even worth the energy it would take to hex her."
Reg was a scarily good actor. I had to convince myself that was all it was, acting.

Sirius grabbed Regulus by the back of his shirt and Reg took a few steps back. "Oh go run back to Mummy Reggie." That comment clearly bothered Reg, god there was too much conflict.

Reg gave him a cold glare "Not everyone can be the fuckup now can they?"

"Not everyone's brave enough." Sirius replied and Reg ran at him and full on punched him across the face. Reg was taller, but Sirius was more muscular I had no idea who would win in a fight, we didn't need it to get to that. 

Sirius boxed his brother in the nose as Remus joined in and head butted Barty in the face causing a second brawl. Reg reached eached for his wand. I drew my wand and yelled "Expeliarmus!" His wand flew out of his hand and I caught it.
The boys stopped their brawl and looked at me "The next person to throw a punch will have this wand shoved so far up their ass they'll shit splinters for a month." I said holding Reg's wand and shooting him a glare before I dropped the wand on the floor to make him pick it up.
"Let's go."
