By the beginning of August, Remus and Sirius had found their own flat in London and were now officially living together. James and I remained at Potter house, just me and him, like the old days before Hogwarts.
We had our first meeting with the Order of the Phoenix, Dumbledore's fight against Voldemort. It was strange to see Fabian Prewett, our old quidditch Captain now in his mid twenties. Molly Weasley, formerly Prewett, was now pregnant with twins. She already had three boys, all of them ginger. I rather thought that she was hoping for a girl. It made it all seem so real but in a weird way, I enjoyed being a part of it. I was happy to finally feel like I could do something to make a change instead of sitting at Hogwarts and fretting.

I had a job at the Ministry lined up to start in September, working with registered werewolves and helping them after a full moon. I figured that if I was to make a difference to the treatment, I had to build a respectable reputation in the Ministry first. I knew it would not be thrilling like flying on a broom but helping people was a different kind of joy.

My current biggest worry was that the majority of my mornings for the past two weeks were spent rushing out of bed and spending a good half an hour with my head over a toilet. That was not a good sign.

One sunny afternoon, I was layed back on a towel in the garden soaking up the sun. One of the simplest but finest pleasures in life. James came and sat next to me, he wore a hollie head harpies t shirt and a pair of shorts. In his hands was an egg and onion salad. A disgusting dish but James was quite devout when it came to getting his protein in for Quidditch. "Have you put on suncream?" He asked me.

I laughed and pushed my sunglasses up on my head. "Yes mother I have. I've got to get the tan in while I can."

"Y/n... I need to talk to you." He frowned and began munching on his salad. The smell from it wafted over to me and I felt physically sick.

"Eurgh can you put that away." I frowned holding my nose. "Sorry the smell is so bad."

He frowned in confusion. "You never minded it before." But he pushed it away to his side considerately.

"Thanks, sorry I guess it's an off day." I shrugged. He was right, the smell had never bothered me before. "What did you want to talk about?" I asked him sitting up.

"Well..." he pursed his lips like he didn't quite know how to start. "I walked past the East Wing bathroom this morning, and I think I heard you in there being sick. Is everything okay? I don't want to pry I'm just a little worried and you know you can tell me anything-"

"I'm alright." I waved a hand dismissively although I didn't feel very alright most mornings. "Probably just a bug."

"Has it happened before?" He asked with a frown.

I paused for a moment. "It's happened for the past two weeks..."

"Y/n why didn't you tell me?" James's eyes widened and he put a hand on my shoulder. "Is there anything I can do? You don't think you're... you know, do you?"

"I don't know." I said honestly, this was James after all. "I don't want you to be worried."

"Oh god all those times we've played Quidditch and you've been looping around! The poor things probably gonna come out with two heads or something!" He gasped and I stared at him in disbelief. My usually rather intelligent brother had never sounded more idiotic. "I should call Lily over she'd know what to do!"

"I'm fine James!" I shook my head. "I'm the healer here okay? I get that you're worried but you don't need to be." I wondered if there could be a worse possible time to be potentially pregnant.

"Have you heard from Reg at all lately?" James wore a concerned frown as he pushed his glasses up his nose. This past year I had grown rather weary of concern.
