Y/N Potter

In the weeks that passed, Reg visited more frequently. He would arrive late at night and leave early in the morning before his parents woke up a couple of times a week. I told him not to tempt fate too far, there would be hell to pay if he got caught. Plus, he must have been so worn out the next day. He never trusted himself to fall asleep next to me incase he didn't wake up in time.

Marlene had showed up at the door one sunny Tuesday, her and Mary's relationship had grown rather strange since the war. Mary begged her not to join but Marlene would not hear of it. She was overjoyed at the news, I wished to share her enthusiasm although I had to admit that the unwavering support of my friends made me feel a tad bit better about my situation. While she was staying, we were inseparable just like at Hogwarts. We lounged in the sun all day, listening to music, and laughed and talked all night. Potter house was a place where lost souls could come and feel found again.

The morning sickness had relented after a while, thank god so I began my way as I always did. Got dressed, got breakfast and went to bother whoever was in the house at the time. This time, it was all the old school lot except Mary. Her absence was very noticeable. Sitting in my living room next to a shaggy black dog asleep on the sofa, I began to write.

Dearest Mary.
I miss you! Please come to Potter House, everyone's here but it's not complete without you. I promise not to mention the war at all and I have news that, in truth, I don't think will really shock you.
Lots of love, y/n

I looked over to padfoot after sending James's owl off with the letter. He seemed to prefer sleeping as a dog than a human, I wasn't sure why. "Can I fetch you some kibble for breakfast?" I smirked and scratched behind his ears. Padfoot opened his eyes and transformed back into Sirius, sat beside me on the sofa.

"I'm not a huge fan of dry food actually." Sirius yawned and stretched his arms out behind him. "I do quite like the treats however." He smirked and I laughed. "What's the plan for today then preggers?"

"Can you perhaps not call me that?" I chuckled, my nose scrunched in distaste.

"What? Moony, Padfoot, Prongs and Preggers." He grinned playfully.

"Yeah that's awful." I shook my head with a fond smile. "And you forgot Wormtail."

Sirius laughed "No I didn't." When James wasn't around, Sirius and I didn't have to hide our growing distaste for Peter. I felt bad, it hadn't always been that way. Sure, he would never let James out of his sight and he would always agree with anything James said, he always had. But lately, something about him had been extra annoying and I was growing very tired of it.

"Anyway," I chuckled and stood up, ready to wake the rest of the house. "We have a meeting with The Order, 11 o'clock sharp."

He nodded, standing up with me. "I'll fetch Moony. You go and wake the couple."

I quickly shook my head, I did not want to go into James and Lily's room incase I saw something I didn't want to see. "No way!"

"He's your brother!" Sirius protested.

"He's your best friend!"

"Hey so are you." Sirius held out his fist, implying a round of rock paper scissors to solve the disagreement. "Best of three."
