The next morning I woke up and Reg was gone, disappointing. I knew he woke up earlier than me but a good morning would have been nice. Maybe he just didn't want it to look suspicious. We had to be careful now more than ever.
I got dressed into my school uniform and walked upstairs to my dorm. All the girls were asleep and Lily had already unpacked my things for me, what an angel.

There I began to get truly ready, brushing my hair through and tying two braids that joined at the back to make a half up half down style. When I looked at my timetable, I realized I had a lot of combined classes with Reg. We were both NEWT students so it was similar work. Not that we would be able to talk in them. It didn't hurt that he didn't acknowledge my presence, I was too frightened to ever risk it again.

When I walked down to the common room, Sirius and Remus were there Remus was reading and Sirius was trying his best to distract him as he usually did, laying his head in the poor boys lap "Moony I need attention!"

"You always do." Replied Remus with a fond smile.

"Morning boys!" I smiled cheerily, I was excited for my first day back.

Since the Summer, it was an unspoken understanding between us and James that they were an item. Not that we cared, it was always kind of obvious. I loved seeing them so happy. Remus and Sirius hid their relationship for obvious reasons but with me they didn't, I knew them better than that and they knew me almost too well.

"Morning Y/n." They both said in unison.

"Moony I'm hungry." Sirius complained and fished in Remus's pockets and pulled out a chocolate frog. "AHA!"

"Give that back now!" The boys started to wrestle and Sirius grinned as Remus pushed him down to the floor to grab his chocolate

"Ooh I should steal your food more often." He waggled his eyebrows while I just stood back and laughed.

"Uh guys- anyone want breakfast?" I laughed and they stopped when Remus had got his chocolate back, shoving it back into his pocket as he blew a strand of straw coloured hair out of his face. No one got between Remus and his chocolate.

Sirius pushed his hair out his face and stood up. "Sorry about that, dogs can't have chocolate anyway." He grinned.

"Idiots. Come on I'm hungry." They got up and we walked down to breakfast, comparing timetables for the year.

"I have potions first thing." I sighed, I liked potions and thanks to Reg I had got better at it which was good because I wanted to be a healer. But it was hard going first thing on a Monday morning.

"Good luck." Remus chuckled piling a mountain of food onto his plate enough to feed a village. He always got hungry towards the full moon.

"Y/n did you see Reg?" Sirius asked me quietly, he hadn't got a chance to speak to his brother yet.

"Yeah, I healed up the cuts." I whispered and the boys immediately understood. "He says he wants to explain everything soon I'm not sure what he means."

Remus leaned in to us so the three of us nearly all had our heads together. "Y/n you don't think he's...."

"Don't." I shook my head. "Of course I'm wondering but I can't bear thinking about it. Hope for the best prepare for the worst." I sighed.

"Hey you'll always have us." Remus smiled a little

"I don't have his resting bitch face but I've got David Bowie records and I'll be loyal as a dog." Sirius grinned, he was very fond of dog jokes. One time he made me take a picture of him next to a sign that said All dogs must be kept on a lead.
