Grimauld Place had been driving me insane. I had hardly left the house due to having no where to go. My time had been occupied with painting, music and death eater meetings at Malfoy Manor. While not a death eater herself, my mother glowed with pride every day before I set off the attend a meeting. It made me sick. I hated sitting stiffly in the dark dining room while the wretched snake slithered across the table. The dark lord had requested a house elf and I had offered Kreature with false enthusiasm. It would gain there trust and possibly information for The Order. That was what I was here for, I needed to stay focused.
One evening, I walked into Sirius's room. Everything of his was still there, it looked like he was due to return any minute. A selfish part of me wished that he was. Although I had spent the majority of my teenage years finding my brother a nuisance, I longed for the days that he would walk into my room just to knock something off the shelf and walk back out. I didn't even know where he was now, I assumed Potter house, lucky bastard.
I sat on his bed and picked up the photo of him and y/n on his bedside. It made me smile a little. She looked so happy, I ached for her. I needed to see her.

That night, when everyone was asleep, I decided I had gone long enough without seeing y/n. If I was back in early in the morning, perhaps no one would notice. Creeping through the house was dangerous, the floorboards were squeaky and the old wooden front door was loud. I rested my hands on the windowsill of Sirius's room with a sigh. This was my only way out. After opening the window as far as it would go, I quickly listened for any kind of movement. The house was still and silent. Good.
I swung my legs over the windowsill so one leg was hanging out the window and then lowering myself by my arms, I jumped down with a thud. "Ow." I muttered, wondering how on earth Sirius always managed to do it so casually. It was not so late, almost midnight, luckily my parents were early sleepers. Drawing my wand, I thought of Potter house and closed my eyes and just like that I was stood in the front garden.
The warm lights through the many windows gleamed at me welcomingly and I couldn't help but smile as I knocked three times on the front door. As the door opened, I saw that it was my brother who had opened it. His face dropped and his eyes widened. "Reggie what the hell are you doing here? If they know..." He was the only person who could call me that. And maybe y/n.
"It's alright." I assured him with a smile. "They're asleep, I'll go when the sun rises. You know what it's like being in that house."
He couldn't argue with that. His face broke into a smile as he hugged me and patted me on the back. "I'm glad you're here. How did you get out?"
I laughed a little "Your window." My eyes went to the tattoos covering his arms. It didn't shock me. "You know those last forever right?"
"Shut up let me stay in a good mood with you" he laughed. "Y/n will be over the moon to see you, she hasn't really been herself."My lips formed into a frown at what Sirius said, my mind immediately worrying about her. "Y/n!" He called. "We've got a weird little green man here for you!"
And there she was at the top of the stairs. "What?" She asked in confusion until she saw me and her face lit up "Reg!" She smiled happily and ran down the stairs, she practically threw herself into my arms and I picked her up, twirling her around.
