My friends welcomed Reg as if he had always been part of the group, I was greatful and they knew it meant a lot to me. James tried to play the intimidating older brother when really he was far too caring and good-natured to ever be scary.
He crossed his arms looking at him up and down as if he was sizing him up. "Hello Regulus." He said stiffly.
"Alright James?" Reg smiled awkwardly, his hands in his pockets.
"How are you after that Quidditch accident- but can I just say the speed you were flying at what model is your broom? You were like lighting! Dad just got me the latest nimbus for Christmas it goes really fast, you can try it one day if you like, also you're not half bad at shooting if you weren't green I'd want you on my team!" The scary brother act was quickly forgotten as the two started to talk about Quidditch. James loved finding people that could share his interest. I smiled watching as Reg came out of his shell while talking to my brother, James had a way of getting people to do that.
When it came to the doors, the bouncers asked to see our tickets. "Yeah we've all got front row tickets." I lied smoothly and Lily casted a confundo charm. And that was that, all nine of us got right to the very front. We all screamed our heads off as Freddie Mercury pranced onto the stage the way he did and started to sing Killer Queen. It was the most magical night, I had all my favorite people together with my favorite music. We sang and sang loud as we could until our voices were hurting, and then we sang some more.

And in that moment, it well and truly felt like it. No war, no death eaters, just us and Queen. The champions to the world.

The concert finished a couple of hours later and we stumbled out onto the busy street, excited, tipsy and the most ecstatic we had felt in a long time. "That was bloody brilliant!" Remus smiled.
"They're amazing! I've never seen anything like it." Reg knew next to nothing about muggle- well anything muggle. He had been well and truly kept away from that stuff and we had given him a bloody good introduction. "That Brian May has to be a wizard!"
"Best day of my life." I smiled and hugged Reg.
"We should be heading home, Lily would you like to come back to my house?" James asked her a little shyly but Lily smiled and nodded. "Meet the parents and all- if you want to of course!"
"If your mum doesn't mind." She smiled. "I'd love to."
I turned to look at Reg. "Does this really have to be goodbye until school?" I sighed and held his hands.
"If I get caught..."
"Come back with me."
Reg blinked at my suggestion "You mean run off to your house?"
"Now is the best chance you'll get. You can live with us like Sirius does, I promise my parents won't mind at all and you'll get out of that house and we can be together, properly. We won't have to worry about our future." The more I thought about it, the more I loved the idea. "It's crazy but why not? It will be great!"
"You're crazy." He smiled and kissed me softly "I'll come back with you."
"It will be amazing." I smiled. With Reg living with me, we could have a future together and he wouldn't be forced to join the death eaters.
