No matter how long
You don't communicate
Some feelings do never change

D R I S H T I

"Dad!" Exactly like an over excited preschooler whose mom just returned from the market, I jumped in my dad's arms and squeezed him till he pleaded me to leave him. "It's been so long that we met face to face!" Cuz I definitely saw him at the day of the trip.

"Well, it was you who broke all the ties and rejected all my calls in anger. And look at you now, woah!" Dad shrugged his shoulders but even his best attempts could not hide the amusement on his face when he saw me like this.

Excessively happy

That made no sense to him

"Why? Have I changed into someone bad?" I smiled at dad before looking behind me to check if Rakshit had arrived after parking the car.

"No, you're good! Exceptionally good and happy" he laughed before cupping my face and admiring me, something he didn't get to do in these months. "I missed you a lot Drishti"

"I missed you too dad" dad's arms engulfed me into his love and warmth. A few tears could be felt falling on my shoulder but he wiped them before I could ask him about it.

"Now" He parted from me and took me in a side hug, smile replacing his tears "Where is my son in law?!"

"I don't know. It's been so long! He said he will come after parking but he ain't here! This isn't fair, completely unfair" I was complaining about Rakshit? Yes I was.

Till the time he didn't come, dad and I were strolling in the garden remembering a few of the sweet memories of the last. There was this time when I was a toddler playing in his arms, and here I stood all grown up in front of him and not to forget I was married, which was the biggest day in my father's life after my birth.

I was standing near an old swing, talking with dad when the trip down the memory lane was interrupted by Rakshit's arrival. Respect was running through his veins! He touched dad's feet before dad pulled him into a hug and patted his back harshly in pride.

"How are you my son? I hope my princess didn't bother you much. I know she would have! That's sure but I know you will handle her, everything can be seen!" Dad was clearly out of things to talk to, but that didn't stop him from talking with Rakshit.

Dad never needed a reason to start a conversation, something he had been good at. On the other hand, I never needed a reason to end a conversation.

You know there were times when people doubted I was his blood.

Even if I wasn't he would never stop loving me, or I would stop loving him.

We may fight, we may not talk to each other for long. Whatever happens, we know that in the end, we will always be together.

I sat quietly on the swing, using my legs to move it to and fro and watching the two of them smiling and laughing with each other. It was good seeing them so close and somewhere deep down in my heart, I thanked dad for making this decision for me.

He had one of the best people in the world enter my life.

"Smiling a lot lately" I felt someone pull the strings of my swing back and push me forward. There definitely was no need to dramatically explain that it was Rakshit.

"Obviously, staying with my own people makes me happy" I smiled and enjoyed the air hitting my face. Dad had excused himself as he had to go to his office for signing some important document.

"That's nice" he continued pushing me on the swing. It was evening when we arrived, the night had just hit in and the lighting system in this part of the garden was one of most alluring things I've seen.

The water fountain had it's own white and blue lighting system, light blue fairy lights were hung on the tree that had this swing on. The nearby area was lighten by normal yet satisfying white lamps.

"It's so beautiful, right Rakshit?" He stopped the swing at the question which made me turn back and look at him out of curiosity. "What happened?"

"Nothing" he said blankly and slowly startes walking towards the front. He stood in front of me and sat on his knees, holding my hand in his. "Just remembering from where we had started and what progress we have made" he kissed the back of my hand and tapped on it twice, looking into my eyes. Let me tell you that butterflies in stomach are real! "Now I will repeat what you keep on saying. Ahem ahem! It feels so good"

"Hey, I don't say this way!" Rakshit's acting was definitely something no one would be ever willing to watch, no matter how much will you had, you just can't for some reason. I used my foot to his leg when he chuckled and got up from his seat.

"Come on, your dad's home. His car just arrived" he pulled me up from the swing and guess what.

It was not so strong to produce that effect but the atmosphere and my turned on mood, turned on in a good way caused me to crash straight on his chest. I won't exaggerate but oh my, he was strong.

I was strong too!

"Sorry" I acted as if it was accidental and deliberately tucked back the strand of my hair. It wasn't even coming forward, I had to try tossing my head three times to bring it forward.

"No problem. Let's go" Ok, you left your expressions, where?

"Yeah let's go" we were going

Everything was perfect.

I felt smart

More than needed.

"By the way" Rakshit whispered in my ear while walking" that was not necessary at all, you know my arms are always open for you" and I felt myself drowning in slightly embarrassing situation when I was caught and an unwanted blush appeared on my face.
