Tommy stood at the edge of a cliff in the nether. He bit his lip, contemplating the options. Fall and be free, or live and suffer endlessly. The first choice sounded better when everyone hates you for reviving your insane brother and partially taking place in the murder of an innocent ghost. Oh, and starting a couple wars and being what everyone says you are but says not to be, yeah, their being wayyy too confusing about it. Tommy placed his compass next to the portal, just as the obsidian-perimeter purple started to roar. Tommy looked over with his dull blue eyes to see some familiar goggles emerge. George came through, and Tommy saluted.

He fell backwards, George yelling and trying to grab his hand. Their fingers brushed as Tommy's tears flew off his face. It seemed to go in slow motion, the lava splashing around him and the burning yet comforting sensation engulf him.

It was white everywhere. Tommy was standing in front of a pure white castle, his clothing sapped of colour. He gasped, the pearly white blinding him and driving him insane. He stepped forward, going into the castle. His feet seemed to take him to the center of the palace. Tommy was shocked to see copies of himself everywhere. Tommy seemed to go on for hours, but his feet never hurt and never tired. He stopped in front of a huge entrance, where in the middle of the large room sat a throne. It was empty, but majestic. Tommy gasped, alerting the female standing at the window. She walked over to him, inspecting him. She herself had straight white hair flowing to her waist, with white robes and eyes like Eret. Her skin was pale, her curves no flaw.

"I've been expecting to see you, Tommyinnit, around here." She said. Her voice was like jingling bells, the chirps of birds, the steady flow of a calm river. Tommy blinked.

"Where am I?" He asked, to which she laughed.

"My dear bitch, you're currently in the in-between." She answered. Tommy must have looked confused, for she explained.

"The in-between is where time is nothing. You cannot age, you cannot die. Well, you are dead, but for me I cannot. This is a popular stop for time travellers." She said.

"Time travellers?!" Tommy shouted. She laughed and nodded, smirking.

"This is sort of like heaven. Where all the better souls are." She solved. Tommy nodded.

"I'm a good soul?" He asked.

"Well, yes, but I'd like to make a deal with you." She said.

"A deal?" Tommy repeated, to which she confirmed.

"I'd like to send you back to the SMP in a different body. No one will recognize you unless you say. This is sort of like... A second chance." She said, looking at him. He considered for a moment.

"What do you get in return. I know that everyone needs something in return." He said.

"I'd like you to become my successor." She said. Tommy choked on air.

"Your f u c k i n g what?!" He shouted.

"My successor." She repeated. He probably looked confused for a second time, for she confirmed.

"I'm the keeper of the In-Between. There is one keeper per realm, one for the overworld, one for the nether, on for the end, one for the other side, and one for the in-between. I'd like you to become the keeper of the in-between when you die again." She said.
