"Wil?" Tommy asked. The teen twirled around in his chair.
"Yeah Toms? What're you doing up so late?" Wilbur asked his five year old brother.
"Can't sleep." Tommy mumbled, making grabby hands for sixteen year old Wilbur. Wilbur leaned in, pulling Tommy onto his lap non-sexually.
"Wanna stay here for a lil?" Wilbur asked as he spun back to his computer. Damn, coding was hard. Tommy nodded into Wilbur's shirt. After a few minutes, soft snoring was vibrating on Wilbur's chest. He smiled. They were gonna survive, no matter what.

Wilbur kept chatting with George, working on their project. They worked at the same company. Some weeks later, the project was almost done, and Sally was almost gonna give birth. Neither had many outside friends, seeing as they both ran away from bad homes.

"He got kicked out by his boyfriend... and we don't have anyone to look after Tommy."
"Yes, Wilbur, your friend can stay here for the time being."
