✧THE WEDDING✧

◊━━━━━✥━━━━━◊

***

Rodolphous Lestrange had never wanted to see his sister in anything else in his entire life, and yet he felt foul for being so unhelpful. It was a blessing that Rhea was happy and willful to get married compared to how she was feeling prior.

He received a slight jab from Narcissa beside him, and he shook off his darkened thoughts. "Rhea, you look beautiful." Her attention had been to everything else that she hadn't noticed her elder brother come into the room a swell.

"Looking rather spiffy yourself, Rolf." She said with a grin, turning back to the mirror and attempting to get the earrings in. Yet her comment had caused him to straighten his stance, leaving Cissy to roll her eyes.

"How much time do I have?" She whispered, and Rolf reached into his coat to unlock his watch.

"Er, we're meant to start walking in another moment or two..." Rhea nodded, breathing out the stress as she shook out her wrists.

"There's nothing to be worried about, Rhea," Narcissa said with a hand coming to hold the both of her together.
"Yeah, the bloke downstairs is sweating up a storm. You have nothing to worry about." Hearing that Alphard was nervous hadn't aided as much as he thought it would. So in trying to help her, he left her anxiety to be fixed properly with Narcissa's help.

Kissing her cheek, he informed them both that he would go and search for father. Reminding Cissy of how much time they have left, but Rhea's stress had come in form of erratic exhales.

"Sweet Rowena—I think the tea finally expired, Cissy I can't—"
"Rhea, it's much too late for those thoughts. No matter how scared you are, it still feels right. Doesn't it? That Alphard is the one?" Logic had been the saving grace, as Rhea realized she was right.

She was always right.

"And tonight?... I haven't gotten nearly as far in that damned book as I need to. It's—"
"That book is nothing to go by, Rhea, darling, if you're that worried, speak to him about it. Communication is very important, and when you come to learn it is a combination of pleasure and desire. Everything will come together." Rhea nodded, and Cissy had dabbed her cloth against the small tears that managed to fall without her notice.

"Oh no! I've ruined my—"
"Nonsense. That's why I'm here...But that's my cue." The door had clinked and Radolphous had entered the room. Taking the first look at his daughter in her wedding gown.

"Goodness, Alphard will have his hands full. Won't he, Narcissa?" He said with a proud smile, though it was anything but. Up until this moment, Cissy had done fairly well in avoiding Senior Lestrange—At the request of Alphard and Radolphous themselves.

That and because the youngest Black daughter knew that she didn't have a handle on her own emotions as well as her elder sister.

"I don't think my Uncle will ever disappoint, especially once he sees you in this." She gushed, kissing her cheek in a final mention of good luck, and thus either father and daughter had met in the hall.

"This isn't a natural white, is it?"
"No, it's Ivory. It's an inside joke." Radolphous had turned down to look at his daughter, and seeing her bare shoulders and low cut earned her another grimace.

This was indeed a father's worst nightmare for sure.

And the tasteful reveal of her stomach and waist from the laid pieces of lace was truly daunting.
