✧FIRST DOSE OF TREATMENT✧

The morning had finally arrived, and with an accounted eight hours of sleep, Rhea still felt groggy. Even her husband had remained in bed for another few minutes before deciding to 'get this over with,' on his own terms.
She knew he had it rougher today, but meeting with the Healer and being explained how the treatment plan would work in regards to his specific needs would be placed on Rhea herself.
The scheduling, research, and decision-making were left in her hands, as Alphard hadn't a lick about the medical terms, and who better to ask for guidance than his beautiful wife?
It was a strain, one that she would take on gladly, but it still didn't take away the fear of making a wrong mistake.
Instead, she packed a few things that she's learned would bode well during his treatment. A soft blanket, a pillow, a comfortable jumper, and a few other bits and pieces.
Rhea was hopeful that he would sleep through the majority of the two hours session, but it was unlikely, given that it was his first time.
Upon arrival, they were escorted through the all too familiar ward, wearing masks as instructed by the former. She knew better than to ask, but it was Alphard who questioned—
"We've had a slight breach over the last few days, there's nothing to concern yourselves over. But it's best not to get too many chemicals in your system. It should be solved in the next few hours." Panic had taken over Alphard's expression as he turned to Rhea. "Love, perhaps I should go alone."
"Absolutely bloody not, Alphard. I am fine. I've been exposed to plenty of chemicals before. Remember those precautions I had to take before the academy? It's all the same, I've already been exposed and manage it just fine." It confused the escort, sure, but Rhea smiled under her mask and proceeded to move on.Damn him, thinking about others before his own comfort, again!
"You're sure?"
"Hundred percent. You're stuck with me, Black." He could see the outlines of her cheeks rise up, knowing full well that she was grinning widely at him—Though returning it hadn't made a difference as they continued further into the room.Only to discover that there was another patient receiving her own version of the tonic, and she was well into the dose given how pale and sweaty she seemed to be.
"For your privacy, you can pull the curtain. The Healer visiting will check on you frequently...They will come in momentarily." The wizard had left just after that, and Rhea had taken setting up the area as can be. Casting a charm on the recliner in order to create a comfortable surface, adding the pillow and blanket.
"Is all this really necessary?"
"It's just what I read." She explained, but he hadn't replied as his attention turned to the Witch currently getting the treatment. "That's a sweet daughter you have there..."Just to add to all today, Rhea turned to the witch, clearly zonked on whatever was being pumped into her system as she attempted her kindest smile to date.
"Wife, actually."
"By the heavens, you've lucked out. You should see my husband." Rhea snorted, into her hand as she hadn't been prepared for such a reply, even Alife hitched his shoulders."How did you bag such a lovely man?"
"I caught her puking in my study bin." It earned him a not-so-gentle swat to his arm. "Alfie."
"Ah, love...It does marvelous things. The first time hurts the worse, and that's not something you read about, darling. Best sit tight, it'll be the longest two hours of your life." It wasn't reassuring in any regard, but for Alphard it felt real.
