✧KNOCKING HARD✧

Regulus had been startled after hearing a rather echoing bang, and he sighed in realizing it wasn't in his room. Though it did take a moment to realize that it was the one next door, and by the small howling and ricketting, he deemed it to be a boggart. Which wasn't all that surprising, considering that most manor's rooms go untouched for decades.
Uncle Alphard most likely hadn't given much of a thought to check, or Rhea for that matter.
Upon peeking his head into the hall, he was relieved to find no elves or anyone still awake. The only downside to that is he heard the sound bang once again.
Unable to use magic or to even subdue a Boggart, he hurried off to his brother's room and knocked—Only to be greeted to Sirius' untamable bedhead.
"Mate, it's—fuck it's 3 in the morning, what do you want?" He grumbled, and Regulus had instantly felt guilty. "I...There's a boggart in the room next door." Sirius rubbed his eyes and tuned in his canine hearing.
And it did indeed sound like a hollowed-out piece of furniture, and he himself couldn't get mad at his brother. There were so many times in the Grimuald place that he'd have to bunk with Regulus because a new one found it's way into the attic.
"Alright, you wanna stay here?"
"I think we should tell uncle, remember what happened when they fester for too long? They start to get drawn to a person's room. I don't want them in my room." Sirius sighed, he didn't want his uncle's estate to have too many lingering around.
"Fine...But there's nothing he can do right now." He said, rather impatient to go back to sleep. "That's not true, there's a spell for it. I know there is, just don't recall it." Perhaps it was the early morning, but Sirius had led the way to the main master's suit.
"Alphard...!" It had awakened Sirius instantly, and he didn't hesitate to grip his brother's collar and drag him backward. "Hey! I thought we were—"
"And it's as I said, we're waiting for tomorrow. Uncle's busy." Regulus didn't argue, he found that sleeping with his brother always gave a sense of calmness—One that they had in unity for when they were kids. And thankfully the banging of the Boggart hadn't been too loud for them not to get any sleep, but Sirius had smirked up to the ceiling.
"You get it, uncle..." He said with a slight chuckle and turning into his pillow once again.
When the sun rose, either Black son was getting dressed and Sirius could already picture his brother getting doted on for being so spiffy at the breakfast table.
"I'd say you like being babied by Auntie Rhea." He called out, and Regulus scoffed. "I don't like it, but I'm not about to tell her no." Now it was his brother's turn to react the same.
"Well, be prepared for a bit more. Bet once they have a child, that damn babe will be spoiled beyond belief." Regulus turned to look up from the mirror.
"You think so?"
"Reg, Rhea designed our rooms down to the towels in the bathroom for our two-week stay. What do you think will happen?" He hummed but finalized with a nod. "I suppose, but I think uncle will be a good father. And Rhea a good mother, no bad can come from being spoiled. Most would say we are too." Sirius knew that all too well, and just as they would at home—They took the stairs and appeared at the same table from last night.
It was set, but neither Rhea nor their uncle was there. Only the Daily Prophet was placed in the center.
"Are we too early?" Regulus questioned, utterly confused. And Sirius didn't know the answer to that. Didn't they say that they would have breakfast?
