The week had been undoubtedly slow, between the surgery that had nearly taken double the time than the first.
Including Alphard's wake-up to his recovery, it had almost been decided that he was too weak to start his treatment, but he had fought to keep it.

Knowing that their plans for their future were aligned with his health, Rhea was beyond proud to see him fight through the pain. He even took into better consideration his diet and taking his prescriptions all on his own.

Yet even now, it was starting to place another pain in her chest as she found herself in her closet still fiddling with her current choice of nightwear.

Time after the treatment had hurried past, at least she thought it had. How was it that this was the first time she was starting to feel the nerves push forward?
Hell, she felt unnerved and wasn't sure if she could even continue.

The fertility potions were god awful, but highly recommended by those in Saint Mungeos—Perhaps not as potent as whatever Walburga had gifted for a wedding present, but it should do the trick to better their chances.

The issue, however, was that her nerves were countering the arousal that another potion had pushed for. It was difficult to think that they needed to have sex—Needed to have a child.

Hadn't this been what she wanted all along?
Even Alfie had started to want to change his promise because of his interest in children. It was both a want, so it was alright, wasn't it?

Her birthday was not too far away, and after such a good follow-up appointment, there was still a chance that Alfie may live to possibly see a few more years.

"Everything will be fine, once the babe is here everything will be fine." She repeated this mantra over and over again. Until the allotted amount of time she had given herself had ended.

And there couldn't be any room for hesitation, otherwise, she knew Alphard would call it off.

While that sounded like the better option, Rhea couldn't fight logic. She wanted a child, and she would adore any child or children Alphard could give her, but she wanted to experience the world of motherhood with him.

This could be their only chance together, as the medical world suggested that this specific illness could turn vicious in a matter of weeks. And so she took the given steps out from the bathroom and smiled as Alfie was already sitting with his shirt off to the side.

His entire wardrobe had to be switched to a softer material as he had voiced not too long ago that the material was too itchy. But that was merely a side effect from the tonics to having sensitive skin.

"Love, you are breathtaking." He whispered, and she sighed at the comment. He was spoiling her, there was no doubt that he felt guilty somewhere there.

So she smiled and allowed herself to throw logic and thought out the window as she came forward and stood in between Alphard's parted thighs. "It's been too long, Alfie..." She cooed, and he instantly groaned at the thought.

One moment he had been calm, the next his excitement had made itself known. And even Rhea knew that Alfie wasn't that moved by five words.

She wanted to ignore it, but his touches had soon become something she was not at all familiar with, his kisses rushed and full of desire— "You took a potion?" She questioned, but it came out as more of a croak given that his lips were now at the base of her collar.
