Within the next two weeks, Rhea was rather invested in the newly formed relationship. The only issue is that Alphard was under the impression that Corin was a friend that she rekindled with during a trip to Diagon Alley.
Since the Hufflepuff had managed to scramble enough for the previous semester, her classes were still going full-strung. But from what Rhea could gather is that Orion would visit throughout the week when she was free.
But they hadn't done anything exciting from Rhea's point of view. But clearly, Orion was waiting for a better moment before putting his sexual fantasies to life—Or perhaps even her sexual desires.
The benefit of it all, Corin proved to be a very good friend. All things considered.
Corin would ask to use the ever-ending library and adored it just as much as the Ravenclaw couple—as both Orion and her have called them. She had called Rhea's husband the perfect bird for her, multiple times.
So on the off chance, Rhea would help the poor girl study or get things suitable for a study guide. It was the least she could do, given the fact that she was heavily invested in the witch's academic career thus far.
Even Alphard spoke highly of it, given the chance he spoke with Rhea on what she'd done for the day.
The setback, however, is Rhea's inability to hide a proper settlement on the banking books. Perhaps it was the thought that Alphard wouldn't check, or that he would assume it pieces for the library.
Either way, he was on his way towards his wife's study, hoping for clarification.
And when she remained silent, he frowned.
"Rhea, what did you spend ten-thousand Galleons on?" She perked her lips and hung her head low. "Would you take buying us a Christmas gift as a good enough excuse?" That was certainly not what he wanted to hear.
"Well, then it's a few things...I bought those new lingerie sets, yes, those. And then spoke with Lori about adding different centerpieces, and then your Christmas gift is somewhere in there. I didn't mean to spend ten thousand, honest." She claimed, and while he wanted to believe her, he smirked.
"Those charges came differently, love." Fuck.
"What does it say it's charged for?" She questioned, and she readily forgot to ask Madam Roswell to change it to be hidden from the statements. "Er...Surprise?'
"Surprise? I was under the impression that we weren't seeking any additions to the bedroom."
"N-not additions just, classes." Now that had caused Alphard to stall, and while it was technically a lie. There were a few classes that the Eve Garden did offer. Such as promiscuous dancing, all-around bedroom knowledge, and eddict—Which are all the things Corin had learned prior to becoming an escort.
"What type of classes?"
"How come you get to ruin your surprise, and I was left sitting and waiting!""Because my gift certainly didn't cost ten-thousand Galleons. Rhea, love. I know you are not feeble with your allowance, but even I am not worth that type of money." Rhea huffed, realizing that she was beyond careless and would need to make a valuable excuse.
Fuck, she hadn't even made it to a month in keeping this secret.
"Well, I truly am excited for the holidays. If we can get passed this damned party that my sister is still whining about."
