✧A DAY DOWN DIAGON ALLEY✧

◊━━━━━✥━━━━━◊

***

The laughter that Alphard and Rhea's produced at the breakfast table had echoed throughout the home, it was a warm morning and they were enjoying the extra time spent just lounging around with an extra cup of tea and coffee between them.

With the confirmation of both Sirius and Regulus being allowed to stay for two weeks, Rhea had felt much lighter in terms of the semester coming to an end.

"I wanted to ask you—I'll be needing to go to Germany for a few days, would you want to join me? It won't be that fun, mind you." Rhea had thought about the offer and smiled.
"I wouldn't mind, I quite like the manor there. I can finish my painting by the time you're finished as well." She said with a slight smirk ranging on her face.

Her next portrait was a bit proactive and she didn't know where it had a place in the manor, but it certainly wouldn't do well in public sight.

"A reward for the hard work, we'll stay an extra day then—Go out and enjoy ourselves a bit." Rhea nodded enthusiastically.
"If there's time, besides—I have a feeling if I don't go, you'll go without lunch or dinner." She said with a slight tilt of her cup and he muttered under his breath on the fact that he was doing better with managing his time.

"You won't be bored?" He questioned and she laughed.

"Not at all, I have that study to fix up. And once that's done I can start having things there to occupy my time. Do you usually have these little trips?"

"Not usually, there's a bit of an emergency with the prevayors and an argument with a manager that's gone on a firing spree apparently." Rhea frowned as she looked at her tea.

"When were you planning to go?"

"Monday. I need to wrap things up here beforehand. Truly, Rhea, I rather you stay here than be bored off in Germany." She shook her head, deciding to be stubborn and not give in right away.

"I was waiting for the chance to go back, and besides—I haven't walked the grounds there either. And this'll be a good chance to learn more of the language, I'm still terrible at it." She had hit the right points of an argument and thus, he couldn't tell her no.

What did set off her nerves, however, was a parcel from her friend. "I better get back to these gents before they start storming the manor." He claimed, all while kissing her temple and returning back to his study to remain holed up in for the better part of the day.

It saddened her how much the man worked, but another part of her was well adapted to it so far, and admired his work ethic. So why did she feel indifferent to being invited for plans?

She would adore spending time with him in the off moments he has in between missives. But then the looming thoughts ranged from 'did I want to go,' to 'it's pointless, I don't need to buy anything.'

Rhea pondered for a good few more moments until she realized that perhaps this was the best opportunity to spend time with her friends as she would in Hogsmead.
Everyone would be there, so it would be brilliant!

Living on her impulsive thought, she knocked lightly on her husband's door and peeked her head in, smiling to see that Alphard had his head already raised.

Perhaps this was the middle point, knock and come in. Otherwise Rhea would be waiting behind the door until his say so.

"Already coming to tell me that you'd rather stay here? It's only a few days...I'll have Orion come in or Andy to check on you if that makes matters better."
