✧CONFRONTATION AND PAMPERING✧

◊━━━━━✥━━━━━◊

With the success of his business and the employers now underway, Alphard had treated Rhea to a blissful morning. Surprising her by sleeping in by her side, and then enjoying an equally as long breakfast before he had deemed a surprise for her hard work.

Though she threw it back in his direction, that he deserved to be pampered just as much if not more.

"Ah, but yesterday's dinner was a last-minute decision and you worked well under pressure. Now let us take this victory, alright?" Rhea couldn't talk him out of it, but thankfully she still had time to finish her painting and present it this evening.

On the flip side to all of this, she was a little—Preoccupied. Not only was there a small ache in her stomach from her impending cycle, but she felt cheated and lied to.

It wasn't that she caught every detail, but seeing an empty spot where she knew a vase used to be disturbed her. She wanted to be absolutely sure of it all.

"Appare vestigium..." She hadn't recalled where in the world she had learned that spell, nor has she ever used it properly before. But it aided her to see the small footprints of a child coming to walk forward and taking what was rightfully theirs.

However what gave her the biggest indication was the toy that had fallen beside the footprint, having her bend down and reveal the very toy wooden train from the golden trace still lingered up and around the floor.

It wasn't too difficult to see what had happened, a child had been told by their parent to steal. Much less suspicious than an adult, but that action wouldn't occur without input and directive.

In addition to this, there had only been one fellow that had taken interest in the wooden toyset and thus, Rhea had declared she was going out for last-minute supplies—And Alphard hadn't blinked twice in giving her another pouch of gold.

"I don't want to hear a single complaint love. Get what you want and nothing—"
"If I see something I know you'll like, Atlas. Then that's that." He chuckled over his parcel, hoping that she hadn't gotten a peek as to what the contents were about.

"When do you think you'll be home?"

"Not more than an hour or two, the bookstore is very tempting." He thought for a moment as he looked at the time. "That'll work out well then, when you return we'll have a quick lunch and then off to our surprise."

"And not a clue for what that surprise might be?" She pouted when he shook his head, and in the record of untying his hair and redo it, her eyes had gone wide with the reveal.

"Bloody tease."

"I'm the tease? Oh no darling, that title remains with you. As I recall, last night was all you, little goddess." Her blush claimed the better part of her expression as she turned away.

"I did want to ask for the addresses for the guest we had last night, one of them left the train set I said they could take." Without question, he did as she asked and she took hold of the parchment and nodded.

"Not too long, Rhea! We have plans!"

"I wouldn't miss it for the world, Alfie! I'm excited!" She cheered, only to huff in damnation that she had to take a quick visit before getting her task done.

It made her sick as she traveled the given way with the final piece of the wooden toy train, and upon looking at the small home before her. She realized that they had done so for the sake of funds.
