✧A FRIENDLY OUTING✧

◊━━━━━✥━━━━━◊

***

As their errands had been completed, Rhea had excused herself to get ready for the Opera—Though Orion decided that he had plenty of time to get ready himself, and decided to take a read in his study.

Usually, he could pace himself with a chapter, then get ready. However, twenty minutes later—Rhea came out with a beautiful black gown, hair, and makeup completed, in addition to an adoration of jewelry over her person.

"Merlin, you are just like Alphard." She teased, taking her earring out once more as she took a longer look at the back before attempting again. But Orion had gawked at the woman before her—How was it she was already ready?!

"I-it's hardly been half an hour..."

"Well, I did have to wash my hair." She argued, but once she turned back to her earring she huffed. "I'll be right back, this damned thing is stuck again...When are we set to leave?"

"A-about fifteen minutes, Kreacher will get you a glass of wine!" He called out, and her laughter filled the hall while Orion nearly sprinted to his own room to get ready. Good gods, was he not prepared for Rhea!

He took one of his finer dress robes, making certain that it was in fair condition before taking the moment to style his hair. It worked out for the better, though he still didn't think he spent enough time on his looks.

But time was well up, and instead, he found Rhea being the one waiting for him with a book in one hand and a glass of wine in another. "I found the tickets...Are you all set?"

"Hm, you'll have to excuse me...Walburga usually takes eons to get ready."

"Oh, please. I need a minimum of ten minutes. Though holidays I try a bit harder." He hardly believed that but decided to take up the offered bit of scotch before leading Rhea to the door.

The trip to the Opera happened in the blur, and before long, Rhea was walking across the lush red carpet towards the specific booth—And Orion caught that the employees all seemed to recognize Rhea within the instant, given that they were quick to gesture for the specific booth.

"I don't recall Alphard saying you two head to the Opera house often."

"During school, yes. We tried at least once every other week. We attended before he left, in fact..." She smiled, and then most defiantly took the offered glass of wine.

And much to his surprise, she ordered the dinner as well—Leading him to do the same.

"You certainly know your way around, and I bet Alphard upgraded his usual seats to accommodate you."

"Oh please, we both know your brother is very accommodating." Now that had caused him to shift in his seat, showcasing his uncomforted. "Tell me you two didn't shag here in the booth."

"No, we're not the ones for the public eye. Though we did catch a couple once in the opposite booth. I swear, I never thought I'd hear Alfie giggle." Now that the two had shared a few laughs and drank more than the appropriate amount of wine, it was time for the lights to dim and the show to start.

And already, Orion felt himself having a much better time than any of the other nights he was dragged with Walbruga to attend. And even then, it was all planned accordingly—Right down to what he was wearing and their conversations.

Here, Rhea would tug at his sleeve and whisper a comment, whether it be how parpostorious the plot had turned or defense of their action. Leaving him to put his own two senses into the mix, and gods, Rhea hid her snicker in her hands.
