✧AN UNBREAKABLE VOW✧

A painful sob had coursed through Rhea's throat, and the bout of pain had magnified tenfold as her nails dug deeper into one another. But the damning feeling had sunken in further.
I'm dead.
I'm dead.
My little Goddess, I'm dead.
Even at the strangest of tells, Rhea could depict a dream from reality—Most of the time. But hearing her husband say that she was dead, with Death Eaters roaming around their manor.
It was too much. It was all too much.
"Rhea—Love, can you hear me?!" The shout had dulled her senses as she latched onto it. His touch. But all her focus was to scream for help and to wake up.
With a quick pull from his embrace, she had caught sight of Orion—Orion had not been in the dream. Never a mention, and if logic had solved issues in the past, she knew that he would never allow the Dark Lord to claim her as he had.
To give birth to his heir.
"A-alfie—?"
"I'm here, love. But I haven't cleansed since midday, so I can't—" He had been touching her through the blankets, his hands and arms well covered by the gloves he had been sporting all day.But it was painful enough as is, and Orion had come forward in an attempt to comfort her as well. "Rhea, what's happened?"
"I—I don't know, I—I had a bad dream." She croaked, her body still shaking and sore, as if she had truly played a game of quidditch."Merlin, love. We heard the echo. I thought someone broke in." Alphard explained, and that had been just as terrifying as the get-go.
"Brother, the wards you placed are sound...Could it be the tonics you are taking for the babe?" Rhea closed her eyes and nodded, but that had not been enough.
She wanted Alfie's embrace, something, anything!
Thankfully, Binkt had gotten word and jumped onto her mother's side of the bed and nuzzled her head into the likes of Rhea's arm. But a moment had passed before Rhea hugged the feline for dear life.
Her sobs had turned silent, but remained as Alphard and Orion had done their best in an attempt to soothe her worries. Remaindering panicking is not good for the baby.
A powerful heir.
The Dark Lord's voice was prominent in the back of her with every whisper and suggestion that the two had started to make. But as an arm had wrapped around her shoulder, she instantly fell and surrendered to the comfort.
Not realizing straight away, that it wasn't Alfie, but Orion.
"Rhea, tell me, do you need to go to the hospital?"
She shook her head, no, this would be a foolish reason to go. "N-no. I'm alright."
"Alright. Alright, yet you're shaking like a blood leaf. This isn't the time to lie." Orion chided, his embrace starting to turn sour now that he outed her in such a way.
"Pardon my panic, but I'm trying not to spiral."
"Pardon accepted. Now take my comfort before your husband calls a Healer that might not be necessary." So she slumped herself further, not tensing her muscles and using every breathing technique in the book as she closed her eyes.
