✧A GRAND GRADUATION✧

At the stroke of elven, Alphard had deemed it long enough for Rhea's unbelievably long slummer. Especially considering that she hadn't eaten much last night, or the nights before.

She was entirely dead to world that he didn't have to lie about the post coming, and damn it—Alphard was getting impatient about hearing her results.

But the wizard promised not to invade her parcels again, it would be entirely unfair to open her score sheet before her.

Unless it was with permission, of course.

Now, Alphard was standing just at her bedside, with a plated tray of breakfast already off to the side. All that was needed was for Rhea to join him.

Yet, of course, the smallest little nudge had caused her to gasp and throw herself up. "What time is it?!" She croaked, quickly wiping the sleep from her eyes and going to push herself out of bed. Though she was quickly stopped when he pushed her legs back underneath the covers.

"The first day of vacation, time doesn't matter. What does is that you need to get something to eat." He claimed, all while returning to her side and placing the tray over her legs.

A sigh of confidence escaped his lips as Rhea had digested what had happened. "Alfie..."

"Ah, you deserve it. We're planning for a relaxing morning, and I have a full itinerary for tomorrow that we go over so you won't be overwhelmed. And I have already heard confirmation that Orion, Corin, and Maverick will be in attendance. As well as Lucretia." It meant the utter world to hear that she would have support in the crowd watching her get her academic dream.

It allowed her to enjoy the peaceful breakfast while Alphard sat beside her, reading away a muggle novel.

Upon walking downstairs she had stalled in her next step, which Alphard caught with ease. "Are you alright?"

"Have my results come in yet?
"I cannot lie to you, Rhea. They came at around ten. But when you didn't come charging to greet Benny, I knew that you needed the rest. Shall we go and see?" A nod had come, but so had the hesitation to move forward.

"It is a rather thick parcel, would you like to take a look at it now?" His voice had been so smooth, yet it hadn't turned her ignorant of the churning happening in her stomach.

"Rhea, love, this isn't something you can ignore." Alphard always made the utmost sense, so when he had caught her nod, he had instantly gone along with it before she could possibly say something to stall the moment.

Instead, it was laying perfectly in the pile of all her other mail for the day. But only the one sent by Saint Mungeos demanded its attention, and goodness, it felt sickly just how much she did not want to open it.

Somehow, it had ended up in her hand, and as silent as Alphard could have been, he wrapped his arms tightly around his wife and gazed down at the top address.

"It's time, little goddess." With a quick inhale, she allowed her lungs to burn before exhaling and writing the seal. It was a rather unharmonious process, but again, Alphard kept his lips together.

Especially when the first piece of the mail had been directly from her advisor, stating how impressed he was with her score and claiming she was the perfect student, and that he would be delighted if she returned once more.

Then came from her potion's professor, a letter of recommendation to join the research team at Saint Mungeos if she ever pleased.

"A brilliant start, love. And you've said you didn't fancy potions." The compliment truly blindsided Rhea that she kept staring at the professor's script. As though the words themselves would change.
