Eliza sat in her spinny chair in her bedroom, writing down the names of creek kids she wanted to invite to her ball. The glittery pink ink touched the paper as Eliza pressed her pen on it. Eliza had planned the ball just a week ago with George and Jane and thought it was a perfect idea as well as a way to spend quality time with Toman.

Sooner or later Eliza finished the list and Eliza had the first invitation completed and was ready to be printed. She had already told George to set up the party with Jane so she assumed that was going on with him and didn't bother thinking about it any longer.

But in reality, George was writing something on his forearm.

Childish is what someone would say if they saw him doing it, but the context to it was far from childish.

George had just gotten done with planning out the ball and Miss.Eliza said specifically that she wanted the ball to be perfect, not a single flaw. But for George he wanted one last touch to the ball.

Eliza had caught his eye for sometime, despite some claiming she was a drama queen George didn't care. He loved Eliza no matter what, and to George it was about time he told Eliza the truth.

George tried again and again, maybe writing the confession on his forearm wasn't the best idea. George then went for one last try before calling Eliza to see who was invited, George practiced asking Eliza to the ball but messed up one of his lines by accident.

A shed of hopelessness sparked in George as he noticed the ink fade slightly, "What am I doing? I'm just making myself look like an idiot thinking she'd like me..."George spoke in his head staring at the concept confession written on his forearm. When George was about to clean off the ink a small cough escaped George, then another but this time a petal is what George coughed up. George caught the petal and saw it was a purple rose petal. George didn't know whether he should be confused or panicked about coughing up a petal. Then, an unusually sharp pain grew in George's throat and chest that George was having difficulty ignoring until his cell phone on his bed vibrated, Jane was calling.

George swallowed and answered the call from Jane, "Hello?"George said over the phone. "Have you finished setting everything up for the ball?"Jane asked, "Y-Yeah I have..."George said feeling slightly lucky that the pain in both his chest and throat was toning down. "Good, hopefully Eliza likes what you chose. I got the playlist set up, got any song suggestions?"Jane asked over the phone, chewing on some gum in her mouth. "Nope, but if I do I'll let you know..."George sighed, "Okay, see ya later"Jane sighed before getting back to her gum chewing and hanging up the phone.

George put his cell phone away to charge, seeing a 20% warning pop up on the screen once Jane had hung up the phone. George wiped off the written concept confession on forearm feeling confused why his throat and chest hurt when he began to feel doubtful of Eliza liking him as well. George later brushed it off and labelled it as, "Not a big deal".

Time skip

Eliza and George were seated on the grass at the creek discussing how the ball would go. Eliza had a few concepts and notes with her that she shared with Jane and was now showing George. "Hey, George I have a question to ask you, be honest"Eliza said then slipped her phone from her pocket. "Of course I'll be honest, Miss.Eliza"George confirmed, lying was the last thing he did to Eliza so lying now wasn't gonna be something he thought he would be doing.

Eliza swiped left on her phone to a picture of two nice looking dresses, "Which do you think is cuter? Ya know, for the ball I wanna do something a little different"Eliza explained then handed George her phone to look at the dresses she picked out. "Which one's cuter? Ya know...Something Toman'll like"Eliza said, George's pupils shrunken in shock at what his ears heard that came out of Eliza's mouth. "W-what Toman'll like?"George stuttered nervously, at first George liked seeing the dresses Eliza chose but seeing why she wanted the dresses made his throat hurt. "Yeah, Toman. We've been together for sometime, we danced at the first ball. Oh, sorry I forgot you were busy keeping that Sailor Boy guy out the ball for not inviting me to his parents yot, my bad..."Eliza apologized realizing her mistake. During the last few words Eliza spoke George's pain was growing making him cough rather violently. "George?"Eliza said feeling of course concerned but did not show it, Georges cough only got worse by the second at the thought of Eliza loving Toman.
