Jackie + Genderfluid! Reader

I'm back from my hiatus with a request from when I took a break, but requests will still be closed for now. Song is the thing that inspirsed the plot. Edit:It has come to my attention that I misunderstood the request and that the requester asked for a 'Jackie + Genderfluid! Reader' The + means platonic. I dearly apologize to the requester for getting the request wrong.

You got out of your bed and shut your alarm clock off, you kicked your sweater out your way and made your way down the stairs for breakfast. You cut your danish in half and started getting some eggs out to eat with your danish, right before you turned the stove on your phone went off. A text from Jackie. You put your eggs down and looked at the text message, 'Don't forget our picnic 🧺'.

You got your thumbs out and typed a response, 'I won't' You sent the text message then started focusing on your eggs so they won't burn, you placed them on a plate and started eating. When you were done you waited for the picnic to start to get the food for the picnic, but when heading out you got on your purple scrunchie and got your pin on, you smiled at the 'If the cis found out we could shape shift they're going to tell the church' on the pin with the genderfluid flag on it. You finished your look with a bow tie.

You made your way to the creek with your picnic basket where you saw Jackie already there sitting on the picnic sheet, you got your shoes off like him and sat down next to him on the picnic sheet and got out the food. Jackie helped you unpack the food.

Time skip

You bit down on your finger sandwich as you noticed the food was already gone, you got a long spoon and started lightly stirring your drink. You took a sip and set the drink down, "Jackie, do you ever feel bored. Like, you seem to never go anywhere fun besides the creek, you can't rest knowing there's so many other places you could be enjoying...You wanna do everything now cause one moment you might have all the time in the world then all of a sudden you don't..."You sign speaking your words as you signed them. Jackie blinked and put his hands up, "I've been to plenty of places at the creek, but not so many places outside of it. I do wanna travel to another new place when I'm older".

You sighed wondering how all those other places would be like, the amaze, joy and happy memories waiting for you to make them when you finally go to a new place.

Time skip

Walking home from school alone was nothing new to you, your head in the clouds, your thoughts drifting off to space and your feet automatically moving like a robot while your chin was up looking at the clouds. You thought and thought about you and Jackie's talk yesterday about going to new places, how your parents said how much they wanted to travel yet was too broke. How when they were children they talked about having stacks of cash spoiling themselves whenever they got the chance and going to a million different places. But now they were living regular lives thinking about the stuff they wish they did even after having you.

You thought about your bored neighbors who just sat beside their windows and backyards, how they probably hate their lives and wished to go somewhere big and not wanting to die bored. As you walked, you stopped in your tracks and put your chin down. You didn't want to be like them.

You may have inherited many features from your family but a feature you won't inherit is their blandness and regrets. You turned the corner and ran to the creek, in hope to find Jackie and in hopes he didn't forget you and him's conversation. You found him in a minute sitting on the ground at the same spot as yesterday. He waved at you and you sit down shaking your hands free. "Jackie, I've thought about what I said yesterday and I want to go places! But I want to enjoy them with you..."You signed.

He wasted no time to sign something back. "I've been too, (Y/N). I want to hang out somewhere new and exciting, we can't leave the state but in Herkleston I'm sure there's lots of great places for us to hang out, are you free tonight?". You blinked and signed back, "Yeah I am, my parents are working super late. What time is good for you?". "8pm".

"I'll be ready".

Time skip

The finishing touches of your outfit were complete, you put your pin on and now you could call it perfect. You looked back at your phone and saw Jackie was by your window ready to take you out on a night you won't regret. You climbed out your window landing into the ground, you looked at your closed curtains one last time and started running with Jackie. Jackie was taking you to a fancy life style center that neither of you have ever been before, it was in a city neither of you have been before and you were willing to try it. Jackie got you and him a taxi ride to get there quicker, you and him were already discussing where you two will go once you get there.

Hours later

11pm, you were feeling drunk and you haven't had alcohol tonight. Shopping bags dangled from your arms and sweet tastes from the desserts you ordered danced in your mouth. Jackie loved seeing you so happy, now that he thought of it this was a side he never saw from you. Seeming so drunk, wild and skipping around the dark night, guess that was what being your friend so great. You looked and saw a water fountain, the cement ground had water shooting out from it, you gasped and got another idea. "Jackie, hold my bags"You signed and gave Jackie your bags.

You ran through the water shooting from the ground as the water dripped from your hair and body, Jackie smiled and decided he wasn't gonna let you have more fun than him. He gave your bags back to you and ran through the water as fast as he could. You smiled and looked at the top of a building, the building had a place for people to relax at the top. A good spot for you and Jackie.

Time skip

You and Jackie stood on the buildings roof as you watched people drive and walk out of the center after a long day, the wind hit your back and since you were still wet you felt colder. Jackie saw how cold you were and took his jacket off to put it on you. You tugged the jacket to covered your chest and the moonlight shined on the side of Jackie's face. You looked at the jacket Jackie gave you without hesitation and the building you wouldn't be on if Jackie hadn't decided to take you out.

You smiled and tapped him on the shoulder for him to look at you, "Thank you for making sure I won't have a boring life"You signed. He smiled and got out his hands, "Anything for a friend".

Time skip

Jackie helped you climb back into your room after spending that night with you, he waved bye to you and you signed "good night, text me when you get home safely". He walked off to his house and you changed into your pajamas to finally go to sleep, you had a feeling you and Jackie were gonna have more nights like those.
