Jason's eyes widen at what Xavier said, "Buddy?"Jason said. Xavier nodded and smiled in a way that made Jason wanna punch him in the mouth, "I'm promoting you to buddy, buddy!"Xavier repeated putting his palm on Jason's shoulder in hopes of looking friendly to Jason. Jason hated Xavier's touch, he was only going along with it to get information on this side. Jason never expected to be promoted to buddy so quickly, but it overjoyed him cause that meant he had earned Xavier's trust. "Thank you"Jason said then walked off with his pen and clipboard.
Xavier watched Jason walk away, it made him happier seeing Jason happy. He wouldn't admit how he loved him, but he liked Jason in his own way. A twisted way. "You gonna tell him or leave him?"Maya asked next to Xavier when Jason was standing far away talking to Keun Sup. "I'll tell him sooner or later, Maya"Xavier said then turned around to walk off, he spotted acorn knights who looked jealous with Jason being promoted quicker than them when they had a wait almost a year or more. But, they couldn't say anything to Xavier or Jason.
Time skip
The royal sleepover came, Jason and the champions were already at Xavier's front door waiting for him to answer after Jason knocked on the door. Xavier answered with joy Jason found annoying but kept his mouth curled up into the smile he didn't know Xavier loved. Just when Jason was in his train of thought, Xavier walked up to him. "You sure you packed enough stuff in there, Jason? You're sleeping over not moving in"Xavier teased wrapping his arm around Jason and his large backpack.
He didn't like how Xavier was touching his stuff but he once again pretended he didn't, he didn't want Xavier to take his 'teasing' too far and snoop through Jason's backpack to find Craig in there. "Oh, a scout always comes prepared"Jason lied.
As the sleepover went on, Xavier watched Jason play power punchers with Keun Sup. Xavier wanted to appeal well to Jason so he kept egging him on during his playing, eventually he took trying to look good in front of Jason too far and stole Jason's victory just when he was close to winning. Xavier thought that was just him looking good but Jason thought the opposite. He had never won a game of power punchers so Xavier stealing his win was almost the last straw but then he remembered his job to get information on this side and didn't make a big scene.
Time Skip
Everyone else was sleeping by now. Expect for Xavier, he couldn't really sleep and didn't feel like sleeping, it was 2:50am and he still didn't wanna sleep. Mainly cause of Craig's proposal to the capture the flag war. Then he thought of Jason, turned to the opposite side asleep in his sleeping bag with Maya and the champions. Xavier blinked before getting closer to Jason, hovering over him somewhat. Xavier didn't even do anything, he just sat there watching Jason sleep not making a sound. This went on without Jason's knowledge for a whole 20 minutes before Xavier finally fell asleep.
